Re: Methadone sudden failure efficacy

Are you on 5mg per day, in a single dose? That's seems a little on the low end, from my previous experience. I'm not sure why the efficacy would suddenly drop like that, I suppose its always possible the batch was bad. have you tried splitting your 5mg in half and taking 2.5mg in the morning then 2....

Re: Insomnia

No it doesn't feel like coming down with something. It feels like I need sleep, or that I'm still not getting enough sleep. Then every few nights I'm still awake all night. Last night was one of those nights. Oh well. I don't want to derail this thread further but I feel the need to address this. I...

Re: New Kratom User - when to take

I haven't posted here in a very long time, but I've been on Kratom for about half a year now. I'm doing a lot better in terms of quality-of-life than I was doing on the regiment of Gabapentin + Requip I had been taking. I still occasionally throw some gabapentin on top for breakthrough and it takes ...

Re: This Gorgon mess.....

I don't remember it being too cold last year, at least not over here. I mean sure it was cold, but Sunday -> Monday overnight went down to like -30F and did not rise back up to 0/1 F until around noon and then sat there the rest of the day And now we're gonna have to go out and clear sidewalks AGAIN.

Re: Switch from Oxycodone to Methadone? Whatcha think?

Not buggins the doctor is an admirable goal. But you probably want to keep in touch with them for the first week. i.e if the amount you are prescribed turns out to not really be enough, etc. Typically though 15mg (5mg 3x a day) seems to be a good level for a lot of people. The only thing you may not...

Re: Switch from Oxycodone to Methadone? Whatcha think?

I would opt for the Methadone if you have a doctor willing to prescribe it. Methadone can generally give you 24/7 relief if dosed properly. You just have to nail down how much you need at one time, and at what interval you need repeating doses. When I was on Methadone (I got forced off it by an idio...

Re: Catchy Stuff...

Today I give you an orchestral piece and a more rock-styled piece from an Anime I watched a while ago. It's actually a really good fantasy show, which was adapted from a small part of an enormously huge book series from Japan. It's a shame it didn't last longer. Apparently it is the longest continuo...

Re: Catchy Stuff...

So, I play a game called World of Tanks. It's basically an online tank battle game with 2 teams of 15 tanks going at each other. As players, we do some pretty stupid stuff to each other, but its often funny to watch. This is a video by a replay commentator (all his videos are pretty good) titled &qu...

Re: Catchy Stuff...

I kind of miss the Internet of the 90's though. The one I grew up with where we didn't even have streaming video or audio. Just downloading an MP3 was a big deal and took time back then, but there was so much to do and explore that was new, I guess. It's kind of worn off and become "meh".

Re: Catchy Stuff...

Back with some more music.. I came across this artist a while ago, not really sure what the official genre is, but its like an Retro 80's synth / horror kind of thing. The first is a music video for She is Young, She is Beautiful, She is Next... Then there is this song, which is pretty cool. Raining...

Re: Can methadone augment??

Did you stop the Methadone while trying the Neupro? Were you on other opiates before Methadone? If so that might have something to do with it. Coming off long-term opiates (and maybe even short term?) you will go through a period of increased symptom intensity. When I came off opiates altogether I w...

Re: Poppy seed tea - incredibly effective for me

Another issue is that many manufacturers these days, especially that supply chain stores, typically use washed or irradiated seeds. Which makes them effectively useless for Tea.. I've thought about it from time to time. But the dose inconsistency, and the difficulty in obtaining good, unwashed seeds...

Re: hydrocodone and new prescription laws

what is the difference between Norco and hydrocodone? I heard from one doc that if it is medically necessary, the doctors can put a code on the prescription and they don't get dinged for writing too many scripts. All I know is my dr keeps changing from one month to the next from 500 mg to 750 mg an...
