Viibryd

Hello,

My shrink prescribed 10 mg of this to supplement my Wellbutrin for 'winter depression.' I think it's a new med and wonder if anyone has knowledge about whether it exacerbates RLS. (Currently my RLS is successfully controlled w/ a low dose of Mirapex.)

Thanks for your time!

Sudden-onset photosensitivity--anyone familiar?

Hi everyone -- I hope you are well. I've been pretty fortunate managing my RLS but every now and then I have my unexplained bouts here and there. And as always I am SOOO gratefulnthis wonderful group exists. Just wondering, since you all are so resourceful and knowledgeable, if anyone is familiar wi...

Re: Antidepressant add-on

Thank you, Views Askew! I am just so reluctant to endure trial/error with SSRIs because of how low/sleep deprived I am already due to this spiraling depression. I researched online and rad that Lyrica is increasingly being prescribed off-label for depression. I've taken that successfully for bad RLS...

Antidepressant add-on

Hello, I hope you all are well. I've successfully taken 450 mg of Wellbutrin XL for several years now with no significant side effects. Previously tried Zoloft and Paxil which greatly exacerbated my RLS. I am currently on .125 of Mirapex which completely controls my symptoms. I've recently experienc...

Thanks, Ann! I feel very fortunate that my symptoms have been under control with such a low dose med for quite a while...makes me sad reading this board & all the suffering people are experiencing. You and the other moderators are so helpful and kind, thank you for everything you do!

Polar Bear, yes I still take the Mirapex daily and I take Teg. when my RLS flares up. The neurologist who put me on Mirapex said that he would not increase my mirapex dosage if it stopped working b/c I instantly gained 10# and developed an insane sweet tooth (still have it). At the time he said plan...

Tegretol

Just wanted to mention I took this medication for a few weeks for suspected trigeminal neuralgia. It completely knocked out my RLS ( for 2 years I've taken .125 Mirapex ....have occasional flareups but cannot increase dosage due to extreme nausea, weight gain). My dose is/ was 100 mg Tegretol at bed...

That's good to know. Now I am (personally) not so worried in case I have to take this stuff any longer than 14 days. RLS gene--scary. I hope none of my 3 kids inherited mine.

Thanks Susan! And Dale--from what I researched, seems like acid reducers/ inhibitors frequently cause RLS problems. That is what I hate so much about our condition--we have to consider the RLS exacerbation issue before starting any med. And of course we usually do our own research rather than humili...

Prevacid

Hi everyone- I've had the good fortune of no symptoms for about 18 mos, thanks to .125 of Mirapex. Now, I have to take Prevacid for 14 days for gastritis. The question for all you experts is: I'm on day 2--wondering if my ferritin level will crash over the next 12 days or if that's too short a timef...

Lamisil

Hi everyone--I hope you all are well! I did a search on this but couldn't seem to locate anything. Did anyone have a bad experience with Lamisil? Did not want to fill my script until running it by the experts. (I have runner's toe and there may be other options for treating it anyway) Thanks for you...

This one has looked like heaven to me since I first saw it advertised. If my RLS comes back (it's under control w/ .125 Mirapex) I think I'll buy the device. Please let us know what you decide--good luck.
