I have been diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy after the nerve conduction tests but am not diabetic. No reason has been found for this. Maybe someday we will have our answers....

Leg nerve damage
I have had RLS for many many years......Having had nerve testing resulted with the diagnosis of nerve damage, primarily in my left leg and some in my right leg. Has anyone else had this happen? I KNOW it is a result of excruciating, breath-gasping painful RLS for all these years. I am now 65 and hav...

Asking for advice
I am 64 and have had painful spells of RLS? since my early 20's. Of course until recently as you are all well aware I didn't nor did any doctors know what I had. My new neurologist ordered a nerve conduction test and ruling out diabetes, etc., he found I did indeed have peripheral neuropathy. Worse ...

I recently had both tests done. My neurologist detected some weakness in my left leg, so to rule out anything else he ordered these tests. It showed I had mild nerve damage. I posted a topic titled "peri neuropathy" a few days ago concerning this. The one test (to me) felt sort of like when you hit ...

Peri neuropathy
After an EMG I was told I have the above. Now here is my question... Does RLS cause this or vice-versa? Also, what about disability? Is this (RLS) recognized by social security as a legitimate disability? One more somewhat touchy question. Can RLS cause you to have the same discomfort, pain, etc., i...

Thank you!
I am going to the neurologist 4/9 and will relate this. I have asked before if digestion could have anything to do with RLS and have been told no. Now we will see. Blessings

Whoops! Is excessive gas a problem for you?
Sorry to bring this up, but does anyone else while suffering severe RLS suffer from excessive gas? Not as a result of medication, just simply miserable gas?

Me too
I found your statement very interesting. A few days ago I made my first post and stated I got relief from taking a mild laxative. Replies on the site warned me as to the addictiveness of taking laxatives and I agree. It was suggested I take magnesium, which I got and it does help. Lately, nothing wa...

Thank you
Thank you, for your response(s)! I am now 62 years old and have suffered from this, RLS, since my 20's. Doctor after doctor, hospital visits, neurologists, etc., have simply stared at me, speechless. Now I know this is the norm. I am not constantly affected but when it hits it is excruciating as you...
