Re: my RLS - recovery

Thank you for the inquiries - following my first written comments. First I have not had a spinal injury, however, I have been a dancer and used my body extensively. I also wonder if I have been arching my back as a habitual posture...it seems to me that I have...just a tiny bit. My thoughts are that...

my RLS - recovery

I have been a RLS sufferer for over 10 years. Just my legs, every night - a repeating sense of legs need to move and uncomfortable sensations. I was on Mirapex and took a small amount every evening. I decided to spend a year improving my health, I got rid of inflammatory foods and held a consistent ...

Mirapex (l-dopa) and raised body heat

I am taking a small amount of Mirapex. I've been watching this carefully for several years. There is a side effect for me of having my temperature raise around 3-4am. The l-dope cycle in people corresponds to this increase. It seems like I have hyper ammonia type symptoms, but only in the middle of ...

Yes, Glutamine is an amino acid. It is briefly described as rebuilding tissue, muscles, blood proteins and cell enzymes. Among other things like cerebral functioning and healthy digestive tract. I am still amazed at the results I am getting from changing my shoes. I am lowering my dosage of Mirapex ...

Gluatmine - big help

I have been logging in to talk about supplements for a couple of years. I used to take Tyrosine, and really loved it. Somehow during the last year I have switched to just taking Glutamine right before bed. I have changed a number of my habits, and have been able to reduce my RLS symtoms quite abit. ...

Concrete Walking pain and MBT Shoes - great relief

I posted a previous subject of concrete walking increasing my RLS by a 2 to 3 times worse. I found these shoes online - called MBT's that stands for Masai Barefoot Techology. I had noticed that my symptoms nearly stopped at a day at the beach walking only on sand. Anyway these shoes are a totally ne...

I think there is a big difference between being angry (and not being able to sleep) and actually being angry and releasing the anger......like really letting yourself express, explode, yell, beat on pillows in a safe but really whole hearted way, to move it through the body.....then it's over. And s...

Walking on Concrete - bad

I want to know if walking on Concrete bothers other people. For example, on days when I need to do alot of errands and I go from one place to another, like grocery store, office max, etc etc and its all concrete parking lots and floors, my RLS goes nuts. I actually have 3x the symptoms or more. I no...

Thank you for listing the Chiropractors number. I share the view that the spine is involved in my RLS issues. Also, site Administrator, thanks for keeping this item on the boards. I was happy to see the response, it had taken me awhile to log on and check for the answer to my question.... Sherry

More info on Chiro treatment

Thanks for sharing this information about Chiropratic helping. I would like to know more about what your Chiro Doctor was doing in treatments. If at all possible, I would like to know his business number, including area code to call and ask questions. I have RLS, and have always thought that I would...

Agreed, with me, if I have any chocolate past about 3pm, I will be up for hours. I think it interferes dramatically with drugs etc. Absolute no-no for me.

I have been on Clonazapam for about two months. I read in one of the other comments that not everyone gets addicted to it. I am wondering if I should find out now if I am or not. I was thinking I could take a day - or two or three off of it.....and if necessary take Mirapex if I couldn't sleep... an...

I was recently prescribed Clonazepam - which is supposedly a kind of tranquilizer and muscle relaxant....I am wondering if anyone else has tried supplements (like gaba 750 and tyrosine....or others) with good results? I am thinking of trying some experimenting to see if some supplements - that are r...
