I haven't taken Mirapex in a few weeks. I was put on Requip. I've taken Ambien since I have been on Requip but I'm going without the Ambien tonight since it's the weekend and I can tolerate tomorrow if I can't sleep. Just testing each scenario out until I find out what works and what doesn't.

After 3 days on Requip I think the Mirapex works much better for me. I'll give it 3 more days on a higher dosage but I think I'm going back.

Found Hydrocodone accidentally

I injured my back a few months ago and was prescribed Hydrocodone. I had no idea the relief from daytime RLS that I would get. I have slept better than I have in years. After 4 days with less than 4 hours of sleep each night, I decided to break one in half to give it a shot. 8 full hours of sleep la...

I was taking the lowest dosage of the Mirapex starter pack. I am also taking the lowest dosage of the Requip starter pack so it appears as if I could be taking much less than I need to. I'll ask the doc about this as it's affecting my quality of life dramatically ie: Sunday night 3 hours of sleep Mo...

My first night on Requip

For those that don't remember I got relief from Mirapex and Ambien. Doctor told me to give Requip a shot also to see which was better. I took it 2 1/2 hours ago and nothing. Does this stuff take longer to work?

Ann and Susan,

I took half of the .125 last night along with half of an Ambien and bingo. Slept all night long and haven't felt this refreshed and vibrant in over a year. I jumped out of bed this morning and even got to my office on time.

I didn't take the ambien. I figured I would see what the Mirapex did on it's own.

Thanks guys. I'll try half of the .125 today. I'm still willing to give it a shot.

My first night on Mirapex

Strange drug. I took it at 8:45 and had to ride my bike at 10:30. I went to sleep about 11:00 and woke at midnight. I had some nauseau and diziness. I woke periodically throughout the night but seemed to be able to go back to sleep fairly quickly. It made my hands feel numb and not full strength. I ...

Update:

I have a trial pack of Mirapex. I'm not sure about taking this stuff. Can it be taken along with Ambien also (which I take for a sleep aid)?

I saw my GP at a baseball game this weekend and had a brief discussion about what my thoughts were. His exact words "Come see me Monday morning". So I'll be there is 3 hours.

It's not everyday thank goodness. It comes and goes. I am not opposed to the pharma route. It has affected my life by causing me to be tired often and have bouts of depression. I have only been taking ambien and it works to get me sleep which is wonderful. I have isolated friends and family for some...

You guys are spot on. These sound like the exact things that are happening to me. So the question is, what is the next step? A trip to the doctor to discuss this or should I find an RLS specialist?

New. Whole body RLS??

I'm new here and stumbled upon this site while trying to find out what is causing my bouts of insomnia. Strangely I see some things that look familiar. What differs is that there isn't any pain associated with what I have but an awful urge to "move about" when I sleep. It isn't located onl...
