Lizziegee,
No side effects here, but after three weeks I am not seeing an improvment. I still have use Kratom as well.

Re: new to gabapentin
Thank you, Steve,
Right now I am paying $33/month for kratom and $18 for hydrocodone which I use only 1 tab a day. The Gabapentin is $8 so I am hoping it works out. I am amazed how much any treatment varies from person-to-person.

new to gabapentin
I had an appointment with a neurologist today. Though not a specialist in RLS he was knowledgable about the medications. Also he was not judgemental about Kratom. He asked me a lot of questions about my experience with Kratom. He has prescribed gabapentin. I have heard of this medication but know no...

I assumed tolerance to Kratom anyway. That is why I use two different strains and alternate them out every few days. Also use the hydrocodone once a day.

Re: certainly someone must have seen a neurologist
Betty, Thanks for your response. For some reason the notification of your particular response ended up in spam so I only now saw it as I was reviewing the spam folder. Not to be trusted. Anyway, with those wait times in UK I would just skip it and control the thing with Kratom. Two years is terrible...

Re: certainly someone must have seen a neurologist
Beth, I managed to chsnge my appointment and somehow miraculously got a date a week earlier than the original. And at an afternoon time. Receptionist couldn't tell me why a half hour early and I grilled her for reasons. This is a huge practice and likely she only makes appointments. Also I don't lik...

Re: certainly someone must have seen a neurologist
Beth, Thank you for taking the time to write your helpful response. Friday I had a battery of tests and it was determined I had peripheral nerve loss in my feet. They did not attempt to relate that to RLS, but they advised me to make an appointment with the movement specialist at the neurology cente...

Betty,
My hope is that Kratom is more widely accepted and that it becomes universally legal. Good you can at least use it randomly.

Re: Visit to the Neurologist
My primary care doc also tried to get me to stop taking kratom. She wanted me to switch to Lyrica, and I did try it for awhile. I found it didn't help my RLS nearly as well as the kratom did, and it had many unpleasant side effects. I've taken kratom for 10 years, with good RLS control and very lit...

Re: certainly someone must have seen a neurologist
Dr. Placebo, I have no prior history of nerve issues. That is why it surprised me when I could not feel the vibration from the tuning fork. My GP was brand new and I think she made the neurology referral as a matter of course rather than pressing RLS issues on my part.(she hadn't heard of Kratom)RLS...
