Corri, did you mean "like me" as in you have 24/7 RLS or as in you take oxycontin? Aiken, do you think if I respond to oxycodone like I do it would be a good alternative for daytime RLS? I was meaning to try it during the day this past weekend when I didn't have to work, but forgot to. Coa...

That isn't one that I have tried. I think that and methadone are about all that is left that I haven't tried unless I am not aware of other drugs out there. I think that I read something that tramadol shouldn't be mixed with sarafem--which is actually fluoxetine. Is that correct? Or is it that you n...

Tried Lyrica and can't tolerate it. Along with Mirapex, Requip, and Neurontin. It gets frustrating. I am on my 6th medication.

Thanks for your replies, it validates what I was feeling. I was trying to think if it could be stress related, but I haven't been stressed that i am aware of. I was looking online for information about insomnia as a side effect, but I could only find sedation. I didn't spend that much time looking, ...

Oxycodone question~

I have been taking oxycodone for a week at 5mg. I have not slept well since I started it. I have a hard time falling asleep for hours and it is like my brain is swirling with thought and can't shut down. Last night I increased to 10mg and it was so much worse. Anyone else experience something like t...

Thanks for the suggestions Josh. I just had some bloodwork done today, so I will talk to my dr. after the results are back from that and go from there. I had another strange thing happen the other night. I was just lying in bed about to fall asleep when I had this strange sensation--not sure if it w...

Zach, yes I have tried both neurontin and Lyrica. Actually it was when I was on a drug to treat RLS, and I can't remember which one, my leg pain actually started. Thinking back, I used to get it occasionally, but nothing like what it has been lately. I wish I would have kept a journal of all the med...

Next......oxycodone

Okay, now I am on to oxycodone. I was on codeine, and it did nothing. And, by nothing, I also mean nothing BAD. It was the first drug that I have taken that I didn't have bad side effects from. Too bad it didn't help the RLS. I had posted about the strange leg pain I have been having. I am not convi...

Thanks GG. I did take 30mg last night. I did feel sleepy and slept pretty well. I am looking forward to testing it again tonight--maybe I will notice calmess?? Right now I am sitting her bouncing my legs like crazy. I was pretty busy last night before bed, but had to struggle to stay awake through t...

Hi GG. I just started the codeine--well a few weeks ago, anyway. I seem to be very sensitive to medications, so I assume that is why my dr. started me on just 7.5mg at night. I didn't even know I took anything. Then the second increase, I took 15mg and I was dizzy. I thought, oh great, here we go, b...

Yes, Woodsie, cruise control is definitely helpful and maybe it is an option for Krae? There are many times I can't wait until I can put it on and rub my legs, but when you are in the city, cruise control isn't much of an option. I know for me, even tapping my toes inside my shoes can sometimes be e...

Susan, in reading your post about your son, yes the school would have to accomodate, but he would have to be diagnosed first and then get an IEP--which takes a while, and maybe you know this already. I did this with my daughter who has other health issues, but mornings are really tough for her for o...

I have RLS 24/7. Driving really never seemed to bother me too much unit I started taking medications to TREAT rls. I now experience leg pain and primariliy in my right leg. Often it gets so bad I have to take my foot off the accelerator and rub my leg--not so easy in city driving. Otherwise, I just ...

Another med bites the dust~anyone else experience this?

Well, now I am adding Lyrica to my list of will not take. I have taken it for 2 weeks. It made me a little dizzy and stumbly but not nearly as bad as the neurontin. So, I continued on with it. I thought it was helping me sleep better, but didn't seem to have an effect on my RLS other than I wasn't h...

Yes! I got leg pain with gabapentin. I stuck with it for weeks but the dizziness for me was even worse than the leg pain. When I stopped the gabapentin, the leg pain remained for about a week, then it stopped. I thought I was cured! Then the leg pain came back after a month or so and I tried Requip ...
