I had mine for 18 months before I was diagnosed. I was convinced it was poor circulation and general poor fitness so I started going to the gym to lose weight. I then progressed to taking up running. 18 months later I am as fit as a fiddle, I have lost 10 KGs and I now run marathons. But I couldn't ...

Hi Colsy, it's great that exercise seems to help you, although I'm not quite sure how to interpret what you said about running for 10 days and the RLS got steadily worse... . Hi Susan, what I said was "I had 10 days OFF running..." meaning I stopped running for 10 days. Probably should ha...

I have only just been diagnosed but before I knew what it was I had noticed that if I ate a lot of sugary cakes or cheap chocolates I would often have the RLS symptoms the next day. The one thing that almost guarnteed it was...

Its funny, yesterday I was diagnosed with RLS and I was kinda relieved to know it wasnt blood clots. I also noticed that my legs felt better than they had in weeks.

Seem to be returning to normal today though....

New Guy from Australia

Hi, about 18 months ago I started getting twitches and pains in my legs. I had just gone in to a desk job, about 3 months prior, after having been on my feet in my job for about 16 years. I had started to put on a bit of weight and with having a history of heart disease in our family I thought the t...
