Re: What's the deal with magnesium?
I was reading the current clinical trials for RLS/WED and one of the ongoing trials was for testing Magnesium. They were using Mg Citrate at 200 mgs a day. I realized that I was not getting the RDA for Magnesium so I upped my intake. I think it helped my RLS. I don't know the results of the trial/s...

Re: Stressless Chairs
For what it's worth, my brother thought he had severe RLS/WED for years. Then he had back surgery - what he thought was RLS was not it at all! Well, part of it was, but a lot of it was not. Now he has very mild symptoms only here and there. Ann, when I read this I wondered if maybe he did have a fo...

Re: Chiropractor
A lot of people seem to be able to relate their WED/RLS symptoms to a spinal-nerve impingement or other spinal issue. So there might be something to it for a subset of us.

Re: Clonazepam and Doctors
My neurologist also offered to do a liquid clonazepam so I can gradually reduce the dose and I think that's the direction I'm going to go. I'm glad it gives some people here relief. For me, the relief I initially found with this drug is gone and I just want it out of my life. I have not, thankfully...

Re: Is your DA causing augmentation?
I am looking for advice to find out what would be safe for breast-feeding. Opiates are out of the question Hi and welcome. Why are opiates out of the question? Because there is a risk of respiratory depression in the baby? You would have to watch Baby carefully, but it is my understanding that opio...

Re: New member seeking advice
my Dr (who works in a sleep clinic and so presumably has expertise) There is a wide range of sleep disorders, and your doctor is not likely to be expert in every one of them, especially not a tricky one like WED/RLS. I would add that DAs such as Mirapex can cause the RLS to worsen. My personal expe...

Re: Newbie
Your doctor may not be aware of the 2018 guidelines to treatment of WED/RLS with iron. The paper is the second one in the page linked to in my signature. If you have access to a printer, it might be a good idea to download and print it, and offer it to your doctor next appointment. On the other hand...

Re: Citric Acid
yawny - you mean manufactured citric acid only, right? It;s just the mold bits that are the problem, and not the citric acid itself? So lemonade made from lemons with nothing added should be fine? (for histamine sensitive people)

Thanks yawny! This is super interesting. Not much technical information, they're both holding their cards close to their chests, so to speak. They both make use of counter-stimulation to (hopefully) block the abnormal WED/RLS signals.

Re: Having difficulty on Lyrica
He started me off on 25mg in the morning and evening. The morning dose totally knocks me for a loop. I am so drowsy I can’t function. I am sure the night dose is doing the same but I also take half milligram of Klonopin so I can fall asleep. It’s only been a week and I am already discouraged. I con...
