Re: Aimovig

Wild. Very encouraging. What is the dosing schedule? How many shots to go ? How far apart are they?

Re: New to Forum Need advice about Ropinirole

The tingling is not likley to be RLS/WED if it is surficial, or if it starts or gets worse while you are walking. Can you describe your symptoms for us? Is there something other than the tingling? Reading thru Ann's list of the 4 criteria, where do they match your situation and where don't they? Re ...

Re: Excellent article on opioids

My doctor suggested mirapex. I haven't heard off this and will do some research on the boards. Mirapex/pramipexole is one of the dopamine agonists used to treat Parkinson's and WED/RLS. Most specialists agree now that dopamine agonists such as Mirapex should not be tried in WED/RLS patients unless ...

Re: Medical Marijuana

With the help of Lyrica, I am starting to wean off pramipexole and Neupro because of augmentation and impulse control disorders. However, my starting dose of Lyrica (as I titrate up) definitely is not strong enough. I was up most of the night last night. I have some MM that is CBD dominant, 4:1 CBD...

Re: Travel

If you don't need to sleep, then mentally alerting activities can hold things at bay (though they're not much use if you already have intense symptoms). Depending on your interests, reading something that requires concentration, doing crosswords or sudoku, doing a handicraft. Also if you have to sta...

Re: New to group old acquaintance of RLS

Nice! I hope it works. Feels great to get a good night's sleep after so many bad ones, doesn't it? :)

Re: New Member

Doug, you're in a horrible spot, but I'm glad you're talking to us here, because so many of us have had the same experience. It breaks my heart that this still happens, when it's so preventable. The ropinirole didn't stop working: it caused the disease to worsen. The good news is that the disease wi...

Re: scary night time experience

I know that experience well. I'm very careful now but because of bad experiences in the past, I almost obsessively warn people on this board to never take sleeping meds unless their sensory and urge-to-move symptoms are well controlled, because the WED/RLS symptoms will beat up on the sleeping pills...

@ jairalhill How long has it been working? Please keep updating us! If this effect lasts, it could be a new thing to try for many of us.

PS I'm going to move this Topic into the Prescription forum. A shadow topic will remain in Physical Treatments.

Re: Super interesting connection between opioids and cannabis...

I used a CBD oil with almost no THC (I forget what the amount was), and it wrecked my sleep and made symptoms worse. Sigh. I keep getting hopeful about these things ...

that actually simplifies things. The indica vs sativa effects weren't consistent. No wonder! Now we know that we shouldn't even consider that as a variable.

Re: Lyrica Cocktail

RLS was going to put me in an early grave. It was a 24 hr affliction when I would sit or lay to relax. I had been on Ropinirole for over 15 years and it just kept getting worse. It was torture getting off Ropinirole!!! I found a new physician three months ago after joining this site and learning wh...
