things i did to try and get the rls to stop during the night. mine was in my feet only..and never pain..just creepy crawleys that annoyed the sh** out of me and i was a kicker to try and stop it. constant messages to my own feet, pulling stretching cracking, even bought a cpl hundred dollar foot rub...

no im not any meds for rls. LUCKILY....... within 5 days of being on iron my rls has stopped. I did take a half a mg of kolonopin for sleep the the first cpl nights after seeing doc and before the iron kicked in..but thats it.

p.s.
my doc told me to take a multi vitamin with iron... i talked with the pharmacist (a friend) and we decided that ferrous sulfate was a better choice for me... although i am only taking one a day. bloodwork in a cpl months will tell all i suppose....and i WILL let my doc know what ive been taking...so...

after reading all the posts on this subject, i looked at my bloodwork...which i picked up myself becuase docs have told me many times over the years my bloodwork was fine when it actually wasnt...so im used to just getting them myself and checking and then asking when i see something highlighted fro...

yes, ive tried- for another reason though
about a year ago, i was diagnosed with diabetes and put myself on a very low carb diet. my RLS didnt lessen whatsoever and infact, got worse...but i dont attribute the worsening of rls to the lower carb intake.... and oddly enough
thought id mention this; first doc i seen at my pcp when i had that huge attack..i told him i thought the attack was from not sleeping for months on end becuase of the rls.... he told me to go to a shrink i did not! so glad i had already previously set up an apptment for a physical with another doc ...

Im new to the forum but not new to RLS. I think ive had it off and on since i was preganant with my now almost 19 year old daughter. Mine however has always been just in my feet... and not pain..just crawling sensations over the years it came and went... a week here a week there a month here n there...
