Anne, didnt mean to leave you out because you are probably right--I'm letting past experiences bleed over to here. Let's start over and I will do better, ok?

Susan, that is an interesting idea and one I will have to think about. Am I expecting you to react to me in a certain way? I do know from past experience that what one types and what one wants to convey are often two different things. I will try not to be so close-minded. It just felt like I was put...

Thanks, you have both been very helpful, especially with the site where I can email him. It's good to know he can be reached even if I can't meet him in person.

There is no doubt that RLS is devastating and that most of us would do anything to get relief. It's a shame that it has to be that way. I am not nor will I ever criticize someone for the medication or treatments that they use in order to function. I was not accusing anyone of whining either. Good gr...

Thanks, Beth. That is the point I was trying to make; it was not meant as a criticism of anyone. RLS is still such an unknown to most people and doctors that it's hard to find help. Not all of us have access to Dr. B or other doctors who truly want to help. I appreciate your thoughts and response on...

I appreciate everyone's response and hope I can learn from you. Maybe I will even have something to contribute! I hope I have not gotten off on the wrong foot in some of my other posts. Just one suggestion, remember that us new people may not have your experiences with each other and this board. Som...

in my opinion it's just because RLS isn't seen as a "serious disorder" by most in the medical profession or public perception. That needs to change but we all know that is not easy to do.

I seem to have hit a nerve--certainly did not mean anything against Dr. B. Just hoping for relief for the rest of us with a good doctor.

I don't tihink I did put it into perspective, I think I just upset you which was not my intention. Each person has to know their own body and what does and doesn't work. Obviously you do! My only observation was meant to be an overall one: if it isn't working why take it? I just talk to too many peo...

I hate to see anyone in such misery. I hope things get better for you and also hope that what I am about to say doesn't get me killed. I am not a doctor, I have no medical training. I also have a friend who is on huge amounts of drugs and medications for another similar problem to RLS. He takes enor...

Dr B

Glad that some of you can get relief with a good doctor. Many of us do not have that choice as traveling to see Dr. B is just not an option. Finding a good doctor is hard. With everyone that Dr. B sees he must be very busy. But if there are doctors like him who can treat RLS, is there any way he cou...

RLS and fibromyalgia

Just read about a new study that shows a high incidence of people who have fibromyalgia also having RLS. I always thought my RLS came first so don't know how that fits with the study. anyone else have both? Seems like fibro is becoming much more accepted lately. Hopefully the same will prove true wi...
