Re: Getting ready to sue

I am so sorry. That is just awful. I definitely noticed compulsive behaviors when I was on Requip. I would feel like I needed to eat, even though I knew I wasn't hungry. It was the weirdest thing--it's hard to even describe. Here is a link to an article about a Mirapex lawsuit in Canada. It says tha...

Re: Driving me crazy

Here is a link to the thread where people have shared doctors they liked. Hopefully someone in there named one near you! (side note: my grandparents and my aunt and uncle and cousins used to go to Marco Island every year for spring break--they loved it!) As others have said, with that level of DA y...

Re: L-Theanine Experiment

Yes, the amino acids stimulate dopamine production. I take an amino acid blend every day. I have ADHD so it helps clear the fog out of my brain.

Re: Marinol or Medical Marijuana

I think he was referring to smoking it, and I'm sure the stuff you get off the street varies considerably in purity. That's why I'm glad so many states are legalizing it, so people will know what they are getting.

Re: Marinol or Medical Marijuana

I asked my doctor about trying medical marijuana for WED/RLS and he reacted very strongly against it because of the mental effects he has seen in people. He is a psych so obviously he is going to see the more severe reactions to MJ but he said that in certain people (I think people more prone to anx...

Yes, I do. One pill, one bite of food. Otherwise they get stuck and it HURTS.

Re: Lyrica side effects?

I was taking 75-100 mg Lyrica every night and at the same time I went to the cardiologist for a check-up (due to a genetic condition) and was diagnosed with tachycardia. I think it was the Lyrica because I noticed that the higher the dose, the faster my heart would race while I was lying there in be...

Here's a direct link to the article (I found it kind of hard to find from the main page):

Re: Protein supplements/Artificial sweeteners

I take the amino acids from SomaLife: http://www.shopsomalife.com/gHP-Sport_p_15.html . I have tried other brands, replicating exactly the proportions of the different amino acids, but there was a noticeable difference in the effect and I switched back after two days even though the SomaLife pills a...

Re: Requip kicked my butt

I'm guessing your doctor started you at a higher dose because he was trying to get an equivalent effect as what you were getting from the pramiprexole. I just started Requip at 1 mg and I think my doctor started me so high because he wanted to address the rebound RLS/WED I would get as I discontinue...

Re: Dr. Silber and the Mayo Clinic

That name sounded familiar so I did a search on the board for "Silber" and came up with several posts recommending him! Here is a video of him discussing treatment options for RLS/WED:

It sounds like you will be in good hands!

Re: September 2014

September 9th Welcome to WarriorMonk , who has had RLS/WED for a number of years but just had knee replacement and the RLS/WED has gone into overdrive. We're sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, it is not uncommon for RLS/WED to worsen after an operation. Have a look around and see if we can be of any...

Re: Lyrica - on its own - effective dose?

Yes, it works well for me but I responded well to gabapentin. They are very similar drugs except Lyrica is "cleaner" in terms of how it works in your body so you have fewer side effects. My symptoms start at around 5 p.m. or so, so I just take one dose in the evening. The WED subsides for ...
