Thanks everyone for your responses. It really is so hard to know what to do but I will run these things by my doctor and see what she thinks. It is indeed a vicious circle. I do appreciate knowing that if the medication is going to worsen the RLS it will happen early in the treatment.

depression, anxiety, RLS and multiple health issues
I am wondering how others deal with depression and anxiety when they have RLS. I've been on just 10 mg. paxil for a number of years that didn't really affect my RLS but earlier this year the RLS got worse and I've gotten hit with many other health issues so my depression has gotten worse. My psychia...

No response for support groups in Florida
I've contacted 2 RLS support groups in Florida. One in July and another a couple weeks ago and haven't gotten any reply either time. I am moving to Florida and was delighted to find a group (Spring Hill) so close to where I'll be living. How can I find out if a group is still operating. Needless to ...

I'm not taking anything much for the RLS. Was on gabapentin which helped but they took me off it to see if that was the cause of my vertigo. Now I'm starting it up again. So far just 100 mg. So far the RLS is manageable without meds but I don't want to take anything that could make it worse. They do...

nausea and RLS
I have bad nausea. Have had tests...they can't figure it out. Could have to do with my vertigo but they can't figure that out either. Doctor just changed my diabetes med to see if that helps. So far it hasn't. Anyway, from what I've read none of the nausea meds are good for the RLS. I'm wondering wh...

Thanks for all the thoughts. I'm now trying a bladder medication to see if it helps but if I notice a flair in the RLS I'll be off it in a flash. I'm going to see my GYN soon and have her check me out too. My problem is somewhat different from the usual overactive bladder in that my issues are mainl...

over active bladder medications and RLS/WED
Is anyone taking a medication for overactive bladder? I don't have that during the day...just at night. I read somewhere that Oxybutynin can affect the WED. I really need to take something though since getting up so many times during the night for the bathroom (plus feeling like I still have to go w...

Just joined the board
Hi everyone....I'm so glad to have found this board. Also very thankful for the Foundation and all the work they are doing. I had my first RLS episode when I was 9 years old. Didn't know what it was...only that my leg felt funny. I remember opening the window and shaking my leg in the air. My episod...
