Hi Heather, In addition to RLS, I have trigeminal neuralgia. One of the primary symptoms is "creepy crawlies" that wander around the face/head. With that can be intermittent stabbing pain on the face or head. I'd recommend checking it out, and be sure to mention your symptoms to your neuro...

Yeah, I like the "jerk" part.

Interesting that the sleep apnea scores are high. I would post mine, but I accidentally shut the window  I know that I *don't* have apnea, but my score was high, anyway.

Oh, yeah, and 100% on the RLS.

Lord knows we're all a mess. One thing that it could be is hemifacial spasms. They are rare, but I've got 'em. It's caused by irritation of one or more facial nerves. The good news it that they come and go. I take Tegretol for mine (I get a lot of nasty tingling). When the tingling stops, I find I s...

MRI - don't move!

I've had to have two MRIs in the last two months (not RLS-related). There's nothing like being told you can't move for an hour to make you WANT TO MOVE. :D:D:D I actually did pretty well except for the random muscle twitches I get anyway. Anyone else have problems with MRIs?

I have the watch, it wasn't all that great for me. One of the big selling points is that it wakes you up within a specified time period, and it senses when you are most awake. I wake up at the same time every day anyway, so that didn't help. It was kind of cool to see how often I twitched during my ...

Wearing my sheets out!

This made me laugh! I'm lucky, I have a wonderful husband who takes care of the house. He is also in charge of putting sheets on the bed. The other night, my toe found a hole in the bottom sheet. When I took a look at it, there was a large patch that was threadbare, right where my legs and feet are!...

They are great! I couldn't find anything just like them that was reasonably priced, but there are similar items to be had. Search under "massage boots", and you'll find a cheaper version. I had a pair that was blue, got for around $15 a few years ago. Loved them.

Estroven

I've been taking Estroven for about a year. It's a blend of vitamins and herbs, including black cohosh, and has been documented to reduce menopausal symptoms. I noticed a dramatic decrease in hot flashes right away, and so have continued to take it, usually in the evening. I ran out on Sunday, and I...

I switch back and forth between Mirapex and Requip with some success. Ihave no real side effects with Mirapex, but Requip gives me leg cramps, and forget about walking a brisk pace -- I cramp up. Clonazepam knocks me out, I can't get out of bed the next day. Neurontin - sleepy/groggy the next day, b...

Many general practitioners are in the dark when it comes to RLS. I was lucky that mine recognized it and sent me to a neurologist. If your doc can't help, take yourself off to a neuro! :D

I've had a prescription for Rozerem, but don't use it anymore since I fall asleep OK these days. You can take it with the Requip, they work on different neurotransmitter systems. My understanding is that the Rozerem should work the first time you take it. I was also encouraged to take a second if I ...

Thanks so much for your reply! I'd read all of the threads on augmentation, and I'm thinking, "It CAN'T be that, that would take weeks and months." It's amazingly crazy. I've tried switching right over, and I go absolutely nuts with augmentation. It takes one day without anything, and then ramping u...
