Re: RLS worse on a full moon

Ferritin serum test showed that mine was below 100 so I take ferrous gluconate (sp?) twice a day.

My concern with the Ropinerole is that it is setting off my IBS and, TRUST ME, that is NOT a good thing! I'll try taking it again tonight but it better work as I didn't get one minutes sleep last night!

Re: RLS worse on a full moon

Ask anyone in law enforcement or in an emergency room will tell you that during full moons, it's LUNACY! My family dr started me on Ropinirol HCl which I took last night. I'm ASSUMING that it takes time for it to take effect as I got NO sleep at all. My "fear" with Ropinitrol is that it mi...

RLS worse on a full moon

I've had RLS all my life (67 years). Both my parents had it and our youngest son has it. I noticed in my teens that my RLS (which didn't have a name back then) was worse on full moon nights! I mean I can tell when it's a full moon without looking outside because my legs start twitching and I can't s...

Re: Full Moon set of your RLS

EVERY person that I've asked about the "worst day or part of a month" as far as calls says that calls peak on a full moon.

There was a fulll moon last night and I got very little sleep.

Re: Full Moon set of your RLS

Full moon (according to my wife it was a "havest moon") and my RLS was UNBEARABLE! My legs and arms were jumping around like a pond full of frogs! Both my mother and father had RLS and so does our youngest son. Son told me that he knows when it's going to be a bad night by the "feel&q...

Full Moon set of your RLS

I'm 64 and have had RLS all my life. Since I was a teenager I could tell that there was a full moon (without looking outside) because my legs would start to "jang and bang" a couple of days before a full moon and a couple of days after a full moon. Lunacy. Has anyone else had their RLS hig...

Bear:

Doc said that it wasn't a standard test but that it wasn't an out of normal test either. Basicly, if she asks for a test, the test lab runs it.

I'll try to get the test result but don't hold your breath!

Re: Just joined a couple of days ago

I'll have to call the doctor's office to find out what the ferritin level was. I don't know if they'll give it to me over the phone or not though. I don't have another scheduled appointment there till May 15th.

Re: Just joined a couple of days ago

I had to call my doctor to get a "bridge" of my pain medication as the mail order place ALWAYS take TOO long to get them shipped to me so I ALWAYS run out! Her assistant called back later in the day to tell me that my prescription was ready in the walkin clinic there AND the blood test res...

Re: Just joined a couple of days ago

Dr. appointment went well today. I did get up just in time to get my shower, dressed, and drive to dr's office so I didn't have any breakfast or my drugs yet. I had re-complied my list of meds, printed out the citalopram side effects (which I had highlighted the ones that were affecting me), and sho...

Re: Just joined a couple of days ago

How about taking her a printed copy of the document in Polar Bear's signature?

I tried to go to the link on Polar Bears signature and the computer told me it isn't a good like.

I'm going to PM him to see if he can send me a copy before I go to the Dr. at 09:20 today.

Tracy:

I will add your experience with my "Too Do" list for my doctor.

I'd like to add that I am VERY happy for you that you are getting a good night's sleep with what you are doing.

Sincerely,

John

Re: Just joined a couple of days ago

badnights: Thank you for the reply. I switched from taking the citalopram 20 mg at supper time to at breakfast time. I'm sleeping better at night BUT now the symptoms are during the day. Those symptoms are: drowsy, leg cramps, insomnia but not necessarily at once or in that order. I have a doctor’s ...

Re: Just joined a couple of days ago

I WAS taking it at supper time till today when my wife suggested that I change it to at breakfast. My legs have been KILLING me all day. I have been up and around more today as it is a very balmy 50 to 60 F out which should help releive the RLS symptoms. I have my fingers crossed that my RLS will be...
