Re: Abilify

Don't be afraid of taking a drug suggested by your M.D. because it is not approved for RLS. Many, many drugs are used "off label" for everything from cancer to HIV to arthritis to RLS. You are going to have to experiment. The major them I keep hearing is the opiates work. You don't have to...

Re: LYRICA??

New Update! Back on Lyrica. Back on Latuda. After only 4 days went downhill fast. So, will need to lose weight by exercise and watch the cravings that are so much more pronounced with Lyrica. The leg "jitters" that came on in the early evening have gone away. Slept like a baby after restar...

Re: LYRICA??

To update my Lyrica use: I have stopped taking Lyrica because it does not help the RLS (Tramadol works great for me) and I have gained a lot of weight. I have not had withdrawal symptoms, other than not falling asleep as well as I did. I will wait out this side effect, attempt to calm myself for sle...

Re: Share what you ENJOY doing when you just can't sleep....

Kimberly -
I will definitely try the loud music and rocking. I use my iTunes when I walk on my treadmill, so I am set up to listen to music at night when RLS strikes. I will make a special playlist with some good rocking' tunes to play. OR - do you recommend quiet music?

Re: Abilify

"From reading these postings, it seems that there is no relief through medications." Yes, sleuth, there is relief. I found it with Tramadol. Very little side effects. I have a severe form of RLS, with crazy horrible miserable nights. Please don't give up. I am also limited with what I can ...

Re: Augmentation

Doctors have become more cautious about prescribing Tramadol. There is research about depression and Tramadol is pretty easy to overdose. So if you have had suicide attempts or even thoughts of suicide, the doctor won't want you to have large amounts of the drug in your possession. You most likely w...

Re: stupid lapse !!

to Dogeyed - If you have not already found something that works, I second the Tramadol idea. It works great for me as long as I take it like clockwork at 1700 hrs. Before any symptoms begin.

Re: Is it really that bad?

I know how bad everyone who posted here suffers. I have the same panic reaction when I feel it coming on and knowing the next five hours are going to be misery. I just wanted to thank everyone who shared, I thought I was alone. It is a horrible feeling being the only one awake and feeling like you a...

I am very envious of all of you. Being able to sit at a computer or do anything with WED. I can't sit long enough to even google anything.

O.K. I am just going to come right out and say it. Oral sex is easier to accomplish with RLS going on with either partner! IMO

Re: Weight - Too Much Of It

I don't know. But I have arm involvement about 90% of the time when I have a bad night. I have not had a bad night since early March. I am taking my meds on time and have been lucky. Tramadol is truly a wonder drug for me. I don't have an issue with addiction. I have been on 100mg for as long as I h...

Thanks again.
