Good point, I have to be mentally prepared before I buy it or enter the trial! UGH.
Thanks Beth

Re: Sleep Pod
I agree, it is anti-intuitive but at my worst, I will contort myself into the tightest workout pants I have. It helps! But God forbid my husband drape his leg over mine..I hit the roof haha.

Sleep Pod
https://hugsleep.com/products/sleep-pod Does anyone have experience with this? I may be able to join a clinical trial, using the sleep pod to assist with RLS. The problem is, my legs are freaking out. Despite having a stable drug therapy for the last six plus years, I have hit a brick wall. I have b...

Re: Prescription Refills
Backlash of the opiate abuse epidemic. I understand the medical profession is doing their best to undo the damage they wrought (together with big Pharna). We are the unintended collateral damage.

Re: Airsickness meds?
I asked at homeopathic pharmacy in Ingolstadt (Germany) and pharmacist gave me capsules with 250mg ginger in them. He said it was specifically for motion sickness and there is, obviously, no taste. I took one today to make sure I didn't have some random reaction (i didn't) so I will report back. I'v...

Re: Airsickness meds?
Thanks for the suggestion..I've put it on my Amazon list. I've never gotten sick on the way home (Germany to US) but I think I'll drink some gingerale in addition to the copious amounts of water I slosh down (and walking to the bathroom is always helpful with RLS lol). These hot flashes are a major ...

Re: Airsickness meds?
This is great!! Lots of non-medicine ideas. Just what I need. Many thanks! Crystalized ginger...where do I get that? I wasn't sure if ginger ale was something made up by my parents (and the idea of being able to drink carbonated beverage was a thrill!!). Yawny-I never go anywhere without a fan or tw...

Airsickness meds?
Does anyone have experience with airsickness? Are there any meds that will not make RLS worse? I am afraid Dramamine will (I guess because it is sedating like Benedryl??). I have thrown up on my last three flights to Germany, shortly before landing. I have cut out almost all the airline food (except...

Re: Prescription Refills
Best of luck!! Maybe taking the short release during the day and taking the ER a bit earlier in the evening might bring continuous relief?? I know that is what we all aim for I only took ER oxycodone for a very short period and let the side effects turn me off. I regret that now but also didn't like...

Re: Prescription Refills
Oh man I feel your pain!! I think our doctors figure out pretty quickly who is drug seeking and who is not! I’ve yet to meet or hear of an RLS sufferer who is drug seeking. When opiates are your last line of defense against this horrid disease, last thing I’m going to do is lose the trust of my doc....

Re: Prescription Refills
I have drawn the line on a $1000 "thing" my Doc has suggested. Alpha-Stim unit. Looks like a heck of a lot of time/work and seems to promise the world (RLS, pain, depression, anxiety). I am hoping to find a clinical trial haha. But $32.90? I would have done it. That is about what I spent o...

Re: methadone long-term
I hope you find an answer that doesn't involve risk of impulsive behavior!!!! Isn't it crazy when some tiny neurological "thing" controls so much of my life?? My sanity, my behavior, my calendar, my activities, my relationship with pharmacist lol. I know others carry much heavier loads but...

Re: Prescription Refills
I have tried absolutely every single crazy "cure" that has been suggested to me. Mostly so I can say: thanks, I will try that/thanks, I have tried that. I'll confess though, a tiny part of me hopes that a bar of soap under my bedsheets will be the answer haha. I am on Methadone because I d...
