Re: Sodium oxybate (GHB)

It wasn't me....since today's post is the first time I've been back since I started Xyrem, and its the first time I've mentioned it. Interesting what they're saying there....since my doc had me stop Ropinirole for my WED/RLS due to potential interactions with Xyrem...and said the Xyrem will probably...

Re: Highest dose of Gabapentin ?

Hmmm, I've only been on Gabapentin for about 3 months now.... only taking 300mg x 2. Though I had to figure out on my own that I taking the doses about 12 hours apart works better than the normal routine I had been following with my meds....the handful of pills I take when as first thing when I get ...

Re: Workplace Accomodation

Yeah, I was kind of annoyed by the way the manager just jumped in with the suggestion. Perhaps because I have WED, and I doubt they understand RLS... Though I've never really liked the guy. Fortunately, the department I'm in currently has no (formal) dress code....so I can wear shorts. And, as I've ...

Re: I'm finally here....

I've been thinking of ditching primary for a while, and lots of people have suggested it before....just never done it before, and I'm basically lazy.... but, I'm thinking I'm going to shoot to find a new primary before my next annual physical....

Workplace Accomodation

So, the reason I decided to find out more about WED/RLS was the other day I overheard some people talking about their department dress code. And, a manager piped in that the way around it might be to claim the need for an accommodation due to RLS. I guess it had never occurred to me that WED would b...

Re: I'm finally here....

Primary says I don't have WED though. Wants me to stop taking the meds that the Neurologist has prescribed. Since its interfering with his treating the condition that I was sent to Neurologist for, EDS/Hypersomnia. Normally, I've bordered on too much iron...though I suppose now due to dietary change...

Re: I'm finally here....

When I was started on RLS treatment, a blood test was ordered. Checking the records I recently got, the Neurologist had ordered tests to check Ferritin, Magnesium and Vitamin B-12. But, I couldn't find record of results among the records that I got from him. Primary seems to want to be difficult, I ...

I'm finally here....

....I've probably had RLS/WED all my life.....I remember having these weird sensations in arms and legs when I was a child. But, I couldn't say anything, because I'm not allowed to be crazy. Mom always said I was a kicker in bed. Then a few years ago, I had first sleep study....and they found stuff ...

Re: Ropinirole (Requip) and hair loss

Guess its good I finally visited here.... I went to a different haircut place recently, and the stylist asked if knew that I had a bald spot on the back of my head.

News to me. Wondered what might be causing it....guess something for me to ask my doc at my next appointment.

Re: Wearing my sheets out!

I also put the sheets the same way every time...."tag at the bottom". One time, the sheets started feeling odd, but I ignored it. But, one night it got cold, so I turned on my heated mattress pad, and nothing. When I looked to see what was wrong the next morning....sheets were completely w...
