Re: The next pharma drug crisis in the US may be starting

I saw a similar article about six weeks ago that cited gabapentin use at the University of Ohio where they said a 300mg capsule was selling on the street for 50 cents. I am on the faculty at U of Ohio. I don't doubt that it is being abused, but I am pretty sure that most of it is with alcohol and n...

Re: methadone not working

For the past ten yrs, I have been taking 2 (two) ten (10) MG hydrocodone daily for my refractive RLS. Two yrs ago I added one 5mg methadone in the eve prior to bed. I do have some nights of sleep/awake, sleep/awake, etc, but generally this program works well. I have had full days where I take methad...

Re: Opioid Survey - Please participate

I posted my story last week on surveymonkey, however, I did not feel quite sure it went through. Can you verify if it was received ? Also, I registered for the 4-19 webinar. I want to be part of the effort directed at the NIH. It's evident that whoever made the decision to exclude RLS from opioid th...

Experienced, knowledgeable docs, FLORIDA

On a previous post, I mentioned the success I've had with my WED doc for the past 4 yrs. He has since left the practice , and I have been seeing another doc in the practice who is resistant to my former RX treatment plan. I've seen two new docs outside this practice with zero results. I'm searching ...

Re: Oh goodness......now HIVES!!

I think that Randy is suggesting that if the medication is causing it that it means the medication isn't good for you - that it's like a poison in your system. All meds are a sort of "poison" in your system. The trick (in my opinion) is determining the risk/benefit of any given drug. Tram...

Re: Amantadine

It's not one of the commonly used drugs; I've never tried it and am not sure I've heard of anyone who has. I find it unconscionable that your doctor won't prescribe opioids for this. Make me so sad that some doctors have such strong beliefs that they won't listen to other experts that say it's OK t...

Re: I have never slept so much.....

I take tramadol 100 Mgs throughout the day and 5-15 Mgs of methadone throughout evening and bed. I only use enough medicine as it take...

Re: WED MEDS: LIST OF ALL YOUR WED MEDS FROM DAY 1 TO PRESEN

Greetings everyone (I'm a new nbr this week) My WED began in 2003 with suttle , low grade discomfort in lower legs. At the time , I was able to overcome episodes by sleeping. Over the next few years, the discomfort gradually intensified until I sought physicians help, and was diagnosed with WED. Fas...
