Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

It seems to me that health care in all of our countries needs to change. I went to the ER a few years ago when my Pulmonary/sleep Doctor wanted me to try to go without methadone. They replaced it with mirapex and gabapentin. It didn't work. I was only getting 2 hours of sleep. Needless to say I was ...

Re: Gabapentin

Sorry to hear about your difficulties. I augmented with mirapex. I now take methadone 5 mg tabs, every 8 hours. I also take 600 mg gabapentin every 8 hours. I find spreading the meds out helps with insomnia. I can't take lyrics due to side affects.

Re: Another dead end with methadone

Thank you for your input. I have tried other opioids. I do not tolerate higher doses of methadone and gabapentin.. The gabapentin is 600 mg three times a day. My Doctor has been reserved in increasing my dose. I was at 10 mg total. I have central sleep apnea as well as obstructive sleep apnea. I use...

Re: Fasting, keto and lectin free diet

I've lost 32 pounds so far and I believe in this lifestyle. Sadly it has not helped my RLS and leg spasms yet. I am hopeful.

Another dead end with methadone

I had a pretty good several months sleeping, until mid Aug. We had not worked in the yard or around the house until then. My husband has chronic neck pain and just felt he couldn't do much until then. The problem is when I do that kind of work it causes my leg spasms to increase. It's related to pin...

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS

Another option, if you went back to codeine, would be to cut it in half and space out the time. It lasts 4 hours.

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS

Do you think they could change your tramadol to codeine? Once you augment with mirapex it's hard to take it again. Some people are able to take it 2 or 3 nights then take an opioid the next three nights, etc. I found that mirapex caused my sleep to shorten. It took years to figure this out. I went f...

Re: Problems with Kratom

After I wrote my response yesterday, today I woke up with severe shoulder, joint pain. Then I remembered that I have been having RLS in that are. For the last few days. Of my six joints, knees, hips and shoulders it's the only one that has not been replaced. So for me, joint pain and RLS are definit...

Re: Problems with Kratom

Hello friends, I have been using Red Vein Kratom successfully for RLS for two years. In the last month I have noticed that sometimes in the evening or late night the Kratom appears not to be effective. At first I thought it was an inferior grade, but I have been getting from the same supplier for a...

Re: Access to medical care

Steve, this whole situation is not good. It upsets me that the Doctors in this country are refusing patients. My husband saw a "pain" specialist a few years ago. They treated him like he was a drug addict and at that point didn't even know he was taking opioids for pain. He was trying to f...

Re: Insomnia

I am finding that hemp oil is helping with my insomnia. It makes me very sleepy. As long as my legs are quiet, then off to sleep I go. I just have to remember to take it if I've been awake more than an hour. Sorry to say, it doesn't seem to help with my legs.

Re: Urge to get feet wet

One thing that helps me wear my mask is a cloth that I place between me and the mask. I cut up a very soft T-shirt. I cut it with holes matching the holes in the mask where my mouth and nose go (2 holes). I have what is considered a full face mask, but it does not go across the bridge of my nose or ...
