Re: Scare

I called today. It finally arrived on the truck. I'm sure I over reacted, but it was the thought of not being able to get it. We are going tomorrow.

Scare

I had a brief scare yesterday. We called in our prescriptions last Thursday. We always call ahead to let the pharmacy know when we are coming since we live an hour away. That way they are usually able to get everything. It turned out that they didn't get the gabapentin shipment in. I started to pani...

Re: Oxycontin vs Methadone

I've been taking methadone since 2010. I've stopped it once because one of my Doctors was afraid of it and that was about 3 or 4 years ago. The substitution was horrible, so I restarted it. I sometimes take oxy as a back up, but I don't like to take it on a regular basis. It only lasts 4 hours. Then...

Re: Need advice

If you decide to start the ropinirole, then start at the lowest dose, like everyone says. Then only take it for a few days at a time. Like 3 on and 5 off. You have a better chance of not augmenting. Plus, get the infusion. Maybe then you'll be able to stop the ropinirole.

Re: Stay Safe!

I just got home this past Monday. I had visited my Sister and my Daughter in Albuquerque, New Mexico for 2 weeks, in February. I flew home. I was home less than 24 hours when I got a call that my Daughter broke her leg in 4 places just above her ankle. We jumped in the car and drove down. 8 hr drive...

Re: Diet

I continue to try and follow keto way of eating. It's not always easy for me, especially when I visit family members. After a week or so of staying off sugar, gluten, artificial sweeteners, etc you should stop craving all of that. I take gabapentin which works against me. This way of eating reduces ...

Re: Insomnia

However, in the meantime I had a lightbulb moment when realising I haven't had symptoms in my arms for a long time. Hopefully this is as a result of coming off ropinerole That's great ! Now if you can adjust your meds to reduce the insomnia. I still think that if you schedule your meds more around ...

Re: Insomnia

He ordered another sleep study. No also live at 8,000 ft, plus taking methadone. These contribute to the central sleep apnea. I have been having more trouble lately. If it turns out the way he thinks, I could be eligible for an implant to control the central sleep apnea. Deb, I don't know how I mis...

Re: Morning Sickness

I'd say it is related to what you are eating, either the dinner meal or if you eat before bed. If I eat carbs, bread, anything with flour, anything with sugar, or if it turns to sugar, I have stomach problems.

Re: Insomnia

Deb, you're doing so well. Your WED/RLS symptoms used to be so dreadful. It's wonderful that they've abated. Still, insomnia sucks. It's worse when you're awake because you're being tortured, but it still sucks to be awake when you need to sleep. I hope you can deal with it somehow. Maybe the marij...

Re: Insomnia

I saw my Pulmonologist today. He manages my bipap and sleep. He told me that there have been changes in how they read sleep. I have obstructive and central sleep apnea. He thinks it's more central. He ordered another sleep study. No also live at 8,000 ft, plus taking methadone. These contribute to t...

We contributed too this year. I don't know what the amount was, I believe anything helps.
