Re: How To Get Husband to Understand

My husband saw first hand what I went through. I was 58 and we had gotten married 2 years before that. I started augmenting just before I had both knees replaced. The replacements also aggravated my RLS and PLM's. He watched my jumping legs. It was really bad at the time. Next came multiple meds fro...

Re: Alerting question?

Timing has helped me a little. I spread out the methadone throughout 24 hours. I recently found that hemp oil helps me.

Re: RLS from 12mn to 7AM on Methadone

Sounds like augmentation to me too. When he augmented the first time, did he stop it completely? If not, I really believe it's augmentation. You have to stay off of it for at least a couple of months before starting again. Just a thought. I hope he is retired and not still working. It's very hard to...

Re: Discovered something but it could be bad for me

I would switch the Carbidop/levodopa to another DA. I've taken it. For me it only works a very short time. A few days at a time, and then I would augment. That being said I've taken the other DA's too. The first time I was able to take mirapex for 9 years. Then I augmented. Since then it was been li...

Re: Very Tired

For a very long period of time I've had a bad burning nerve pain in the right groin. After my back surgery the area reduced from 5 or 6 inches to about 2 to 3 inches. Well last night I realized that it is gone. I think it's been gone for awhile, maybe a month or a little less. My spasms in general a...

Re: The Battle

In my case my legs lost strength, were prone to injury, and never seemed to improve. For those of us who have periodic limb movements with our RLS, our legs work all night. There is chronic depletion with no restoration. At some point the well runs dry. I declined to the point I could no longer go ...

Re: Oxycodone HCL--how much works for you?

Oxycodone only works about 4 or at the most 5 hours for me. Then after a week or more, it no longer works. Telling my body to take a higher dose, which I don't do. I take it when I visit family so that I can sleep like a normal person. Usually for only a week. I take it like this in addition to my r...

Re: Weight Loss

I've lost 20 pounds in the last month. The same 20 that I have lost before. I decided to do Keto this time. It's similar to what I have done in the past, just fewer carbs. I will go back to my other plan once I get this weight off. It is a combination of keto and paleo. Keto is just like Atkins. Jus...

Re: New Kratom User - when to take

Hi, I haven't used kratom before, but since I've been cut off my pain meds and my GP refuses to prescribe anything except ropinerole, I'm trying it. If you have powder, how much should you measure? I started out with 1/2 teaspoon. I now take 2 teaspoons. It seems to last about 4 hours. It works bes...

I added back Kratom. That took care of it.

Re: Weaning off medications

I was wrong. It just took a few nights for the level of gabapentin to go down. It was nice sleeping for awhile. I need off this gabapentin. I tried to get off methadone and decided this would be better.

I'm still going to stay on one dose for 2 weeks at a time. Next dose will be 900 mg.

Re: Weaning off medications

No spasms last night, Got 7.5 hrs. That spasm I had the other night might not have anything to do with the gabapentin.

Re: Weaning off medications

Weird thing, I never got anymore spasms, so I was able to get 4 more hours of sleep, thank goodness.
