Re: Problems with Kratom

After I wrote my response yesterday, today I woke up with severe shoulder, joint pain. Then I remembered that I have been having RLS in that are. For the last few days. Of my six joints, knees, hips and shoulders it's the only one that has not been replaced. So for me, joint pain and RLS are definit...

Re: Problems with Kratom

Hello friends, I have been using Red Vein Kratom successfully for RLS for two years. In the last month I have noticed that sometimes in the evening or late night the Kratom appears not to be effective. At first I thought it was an inferior grade, but I have been getting from the same supplier for a...

Re: Access to medical care

Steve, this whole situation is not good. It upsets me that the Doctors in this country are refusing patients. My husband saw a "pain" specialist a few years ago. They treated him like he was a drug addict and at that point didn't even know he was taking opioids for pain. He was trying to f...

Re: Insomnia

I am finding that hemp oil is helping with my insomnia. It makes me very sleepy. As long as my legs are quiet, then off to sleep I go. I just have to remember to take it if I've been awake more than an hour. Sorry to say, it doesn't seem to help with my legs.

Re: Urge to get feet wet

One thing that helps me wear my mask is a cloth that I place between me and the mask. I cut up a very soft T-shirt. I cut it with holes matching the holes in the mask where my mouth and nose go (2 holes). I have what is considered a full face mask, but it does not go across the bridge of my nose or ...

Re: myoclonus

When I augmented with my DA, my leg jerks increased. My arms also were affected with RLS during that period. If I try to decrease my current med, methadone, the jerks become severe. If I take oxycodone too frequently, they become worse, just like my body telling me I require more. I no longer take i...

Re: Started gabapenten - no relief

I am awake so much at night. I didn't think it was the gabapentin. Just thought I'd ask. I have my methadone spaced out over 24 hours.
Thanks everyone

Re: Started gabapenten - no relief

I can't remember, does gabapentin cause any hyper alertness? I've been taking a 300mg at 1 pm, 600mg at 9 pm, and 300mg at 5am. I'm thinking of moving the two to 1 pm. This is also my methadone schedule. 5mg three times, at those times.

Re: Open question #1: Exercise and WED

Exercise, interesting. My exercise is probably very slow compared to most of you. I have been walking almost everyday this summer. I'm walking any where from 3/4 mile to 2 miles, depending on how much energy I have and if my back hurts. I'm slow. It takes me over an hour to walk 2 miles. I have both...

Re: Inlfammation and RLS

I don't know about the link to RLS, but I agree with you, that a healthy diet reduces inflammation. All the people that I read about eating healthy are recovering from all sorts of health issues. From reversing diabetes to skin problems. Maybe if we are lucky it will help RLS too. On another note, I...

Re: How To Get Husband to Understand

My husband saw first hand what I went through. I was 58 and we had gotten married 2 years before that. I started augmenting just before I had both knees replaced. The replacements also aggravated my RLS and PLM's. He watched my jumping legs. It was really bad at the time. Next came multiple meds fro...

Re: Alerting question?

Timing has helped me a little. I spread out the methadone throughout 24 hours. I recently found that hemp oil helps me.
