Re: Issues feel insurmountable

I feel your pain. My PLMS just keep getting worse too. I am trying to improve my health though, with food. Not much I can do about my kidneys though. I just keep going. I try to do the things I love on the days I feel ok. On the other days, I veg. I'm trying to finished up unfinished projects, not s...

Yes, Ann, life is crazy. Then to add to it our difficulties. Hopefully it will all be over soon, and you will be settled.

Re: Hyper Alertness

Also, with my daughters antidepressant, it made her hyper alert. So instead of taking it at night like they wanted her to, because they said it would make her sleepy, she started taking it in the morning. Now, she sleeps fine. Of course, she does not have RLS, but it was the drug, that made me think...

Re: Hyper Alertness

Betty, as I was lying here, I just realized that your sleep aid doesn't work for about 8 hours, before you are able to go to sleep. Maybe you should take them around 2 pm in the afternoon? Or is it that they just don't work? When do you lay down? Or do you stay up? I don't ly down until I think I mi...

Re: Hyper Alertness

There is no way I could have continued to work on the sleep I was getting. Being retired means no clock watching during the night and not being worried about the alarm going off for work. However, I just wonder if I've let it go a little too much the other way. At present my sleep aid is amitriptyl...

Re: Published Research - General Sleep and RLS (WED)

I looked up the drug. I don't think I will try it. I don't like the heart related side affects, plus the blood disorders and anemia.

Re: Hyper Alertness

I started taking my methadone at 2 pm in the afternoon. My hyper alertness has gone away. I have to set an alarm to remind me to take it. A week or so ago, I missed the time. I was so wide awake that night, when before I was going to bed. I have even had a couple of nights, going to bed around 9 or ...

Re: What Relationships?

Oh wow. Hope it doesn't hit too hard.
Sounds like a big project and will be nice when finished.
If there is something torn in his shoulder, it will not heal on it's own, just get worse. If nothing torn, then it could heal.

Re: Bad News

Our doctor stood up to the doctor who controls our clinic. She told him, if he were to stop her from prescribing opioid across the board, it would be a mistake. She told him that she had patients, who were funuctioning fairly well, caring for themselves, etc. She told him, that one would end up in b...

Re: What Relationships?

Parts of my limbs are certainly demonic !! Last night my dh couldn't sleep well because of a sore shoulder which has been lingering for several days. I have raging cold symptoms since yesterday, stuffed up nose, headache, and am surrounded by nasal sprays, balm tissues (although I find an old towel...

Re: What Relationships?

My greatest fear is if I won't be be able to get up and move if I have to, like being stuck in a bed as an old person, with my leg going crazy. That would make me crazy.
