Re: Just prescribed Clonazepam - what should I know?
I started having RLS symptoms about 10 years ago. My PCP put me on Ropinirole (I think 1/2 mg). When said doc retired, he referred me to a neurologist. He gradually increased Ropinirole to 3 mg. Then added 100 mg Gabapentin. New PCP said "Oh, that's a baby dose and eventually increased to 600 mg. Th...

Re: Relief of my RLS with Voltaren gel
I am on Ropinirole (3mg spread out during day). At night, I take 1 mg Clonazepam and 600 mg. Gabapentin plus 1 (herbal) Valerian Root. I usually sleep fairly well for 7 hours. Two years ago my Neurologist prescribed Voltaren gel, because I was complaining about burning in my feet and a little in the...

Sedation used in cataract surgery
I am due to have cataract surgery soon and information mentioned they would give you a mild sedative. I am concerned about the effects. Have any of you had any trouble with cataract surgery? What should I tell my Ophthalmologist to avoid; or, is the sedative normally so light, there is no problem?

Re: Hot weather and RLS
Thanks Polar Bear. I also have been to hot places (many times) and didn't notice any acceleration in symptoms. But, I do think Barometric Pressure can affect RLS. Just grasping at straws as to why it's been worse. The fall may have upset my body and the way it functions.

Hot weather and RLS
It has been extremely hot for about 2 weeks and my RLS is giving me fits. Is yours any worse in hot weather? Also, I fell June 9, really hard from a standing position into my sunken living room (on my posterior portion). I'm okay, still have a little back ache, but could this have made RLS flare up?

Re: Symptoms - Burning sensation
Burning, burning, burning. I feel as though hot molten lava were running through my veins (feet and legs). I told both my neurologist and pcp about the burning. Blood tests have been run. I don't have diabetes, arthritis am not alcoholic. I thought maybe it was either the RLS or one of my medication...

Re: Erratic results with Gabapentin
Has anyone had trouble with their morning coffee after taking Gabapentin the night before? When I looked up drug interactions, coffee was mentioned.

Re: Symptoms - Burning sensation
I started having this burning in my feet about 3 or 4 months ago. My feet do not feel hot to the touch, just that burning sensation. Also am having deep muscle aches in my legs and to a lesser degree my arms. This all started about the time my neurologist put me on 2 (325 mg. Iron supplements). I cu...

Re: Daily Sufferers: How are we Doing?
I can have symptoms anytime (every day). I was on 3 1/2 mg Ropinerole and managed to decrease 1/2 mg. So, now I take 3 mg spread out over day and 1 mg. Clonzepam at bedtime. If I keep busy during the day, I don't have too much trouble. Always some trouble at night. But, most of the time if I try to ...

Re: iron of 65mg tablets 3 times a day is good or not?
I have a full blood panel once a year and the last was October 31. But, I think I'll be calling my PCP. I wouldn't think it would be diabetes, but who knows (I do eat a lot of chocolate). It isn't alcoholism. The only alcohol I have is a glass of white wine or margarita with my girlfriends a couple ...

Re: iron of 65mg tablets 3 times a day is good or not?
I have "Googled" "burning feet" and found various reasons. Among them were Diabetes, Hypothyroidism, Alcoholism (which isn't it, since I have about 2 drinks with girlfriends a month), and I believe it mentioned Neuropathy. How does one get Neuropathy? Sorry, don't mean to hi-jack...

Re: iron of 65mg tablets 3 times a day is good or not?
Even though my Ferritin was 209, my neurologist had his nurse call me and tell me to take 2- 325 mg Iron tables(65) a day, one in the morning and one in the evening. The other readings from the blood test were Serum: 50 (normal is 40-150) and Saturation 20% (normal being 15-55). Well, I'm only takin...
