Re: Furious....and scared

Doctors aren't allowed to write a date in the future, legally, by the way, as I understand the FDA rule. The rules require them to write today's date on them and then, on the bottom, write, "Not to be filled before xx/xx/xxxx." They aren't going to know if the doctor post dated it, but if...

Re: Most Users Ever Question

The spambot plague of 2006 Thanks for answering that! I had a whole bunch of stupid theories but didn't think of it. Yet I had asked a similar question about a year ago at another site where I noticed there were all these new users but they had zero posts, many hundreds of them, and it was the same ...

Re: pharmacieuticals make me grumpy?

That is so weird that you say your son hates you. Guess what, this past July I had a huge fight with my daughter. She says that she will never visit here again and no longer speaks to me. She says I try to control her life. This was all news to me. I thought our relationship was fine. It was very h...

Re: Partner dealing with RLS all over! All the time!

thanks everyone! I'm really at my wit's end, here, which is why I posted today. She just took 6 mg of ativan-- in succession-- b/c each one didn't work to stop her skin from creeping and crawling. She slept for a few hours and is up again. Cross your fingers that it doesn't come back. I'm so close ...

Most Users Ever Question

What happened on this date to have so many users on the board at same time? Anyone know? I'm just curious. 2006 was when Mirapex was approved for RLS wasn't it, or maybe Requip? I didn't know if it had anything to do with it.

Re: Partner dealing with RLS all over! All the time!

Thanks for your reply! We found a sleep clinic that has an RLS specialist at it in the area, so when she sees her doctor on the 26th, hopefully she can get a referral to go SOON. It sort of gets better when she moves around, but not completely. Is WED different from RLS? She also has diagnosed slee...

Re: Partner dealing with RLS all over! All the time!

I have it so bad that I would pace all day and night without meds 24 hours a day. I take Methadone, Mirapex, Lyrica everyday mostly but also Ambien, and a new drug that I start tonight (Clonidine that she most likely would never take). I see a sleep doctor at a major hospital that has a sleep clinic...

Re: In Through the Out Door

I have a question about the ZEO. Do you have to use it with the I Phone or compatible? I didn't know that Clonidine works for WED. What is it supposed to do? I only used it for blood pressure. It was fast working for that. DEB Zeo works with Android smart phones also and has a standalone model for ...

Re: Star Tau Ceti

It is also possible that someday if we can build ships fast enough...that we may be able to colonize those planets as Khan was colonizing Tau Ceti Alpha V or Tau Ceti f as it has become known for real. This is the real reason I created this thread but no one seemed blown away by it like I was - Tau...

Re: In Through the Out Door

The Zeo worked! It was the 2nd lowest score though at a ZQ of 17. REM of 38 minutes and light sleep of 51 minutes, no deep sleep and then up at 2:46 am. I did sleep in recliner awhile so it isn't that bad, but the general trend is correct, I always sleep in recliner before going to bed, and goes lik...

Re: Furious....and scared

My doctor actually writes me 3 months of scripts at a time. I put them on the fridge with a magnet hanger. They show that they are all written at same time but "postmarked" like 11/15/12, 12/15/12, 01/15/13. It is a wonderful way to get them and the pharmacy isn't going to let me have them...

Re: Star Tau Ceti

The quality of those is not so hot, but they are *free*. It's not bad to watch on a laptop or PC screen - not so good on the high def TV, though. We normally watch a movie on Friday or Saturday night and during the week watch one episode of something. For a couple months, we've been watching DS9. T...

Re: In Through the Out Door

The doc did get back to me on Friday, he sent prescription for Clonidine, a blood pressure medicine also used for RLS, I searched this site to find that out a lot of good information here. I took it at 8:30 pm along with other pills and fell asleep in recliner. Wife woke me for the second time awhil...

Re: Furious....and scared

Okay so my wife just called from the pharmacy and they said the insurance wouldn't pay for my prescription until the 27th. A new prescription for a blood pressure med used for RLS that I have never had I spoke too soon My wife asked how much it was, it was $11, she told her to just fill it and she w...

Re: Star Tau Ceti

Yup, Randy has it - it's Deep Space Nine. Really, there is PLENTY of action after that first year or two. The acting the first year is a bit lame, too. The cast gels and they all get much better over time. By the middle of season 3, you're absolutely in it. It has a great enemy - the Dominion - and...
