Re: More negative news on opioids

Yes. And, if you can, please donate money to the American Kratom Association. Here is an example of things they are doing:

Re: Opioid Interview on TV

Great job, Steve. Thanks for putting yourself out like that. I'm sure it wasn't easy. But then, nothing about this lousy disease is easy anyway.

Re: Sleeping Arrangements

Sounds like kratom might help you both, as it is very good for restless legs, but also for PTSD.

Propanolol?

My daughter was given propanolol for her RLS, which has just become more severe. She is also taking vyvanse and Wellbutrin for adhd/depression. I've searched these boards and can't find much on propanolol which she said isn't helping much. Plus we can't figure out why the RLS has suddenly gotten wor...

Re: Trying out Kratom

I am happy to see kratom work for so many people. As one of you mentioned, the FDA is making threatening noises again about making kratom a schedule 1 drug. That would be a disaster for us. I know that pot is still a schedule 1 drug but here's the difference: pot is fairly easy to grow in this count...

Ann, I'm not sure how to post this article here. It's about a possible link between RLS and ADHD. https://www.healthcentral.com/article/i ... g-syndrome

Thanks,

Re: Discussion board newbie's story with meds

Since you're in Canada, where Kratom is legal, you might try it. There are a number of good threads on this site; just search for "kratom" in the search box. It's been great for me. I've used nothing else for almost five years. I did try Gabapentin. I got the side effects from it, but no R...

Re: Kratom effectiveness isssue

I did some research on kratom, and read that it is not water soluable, but does dissolve in acid. That's why I put it in orange juice: it dissolves in about twenty minutes. I make up doses of kratom in those little plastic jello cups and keep a tray in the refrigerator, so some is ready if I need it...

Re: Kratom effectiveness isssue

It sounds like you're doing fine. You know, the other thing to keep in mind is that there is no quality control with kratom. One dose may have more of the active ingredients than another. I've just decided to trust my body, and if I don't feel better twenty minutes after taking a dose, I take anothe...

Re: Kratom effectiveness isssue

You might try using various strains of kratom instead of always the same one. I switch around between Red Borneo, Maeng Da, Bali, and Green kratom. I may try some others as well. I've been using only kratom for almost five years now. I find that I have built up a tolerance (I started using very litt...

Re: New to Site; hello to all

Hi R. Dragon - welcome!!! I also had years of mild RLS, and then when I was in my late 60's it became severe. For the last five years I've used kratom to manage the symptoms. Kratom is the powdered leaf from the kratom tree in South East Asia. I get mine online from Velvet Soul but there are a lot o...

Re: Very good article on Opioids & chronic pain

Thanks for the article, Leggo. It is very interesting and very timely. And, Views, I certainly agree with you as well, although I think the population of users has grown since 2012. I'm thinking of people like the vets with PTSD. I read the kratom postings often on reddit, and there are now thousand...

Re: Elastic support bandages

I'm still using them and really like them. When the RLS feels very severe I often pull on two "stockings" on each leg, one of top of the other one. I know they probably aren't as tight as medical grade support hose, but they are very comfortable and easy to put on, so I'm sticking with the...
