Re: I guess that I will give up !

I don't know how to explain what a TENS unit does. I've used one. It seemed to help. It feels like it's vibrating your muscle, but it also goes to the nerves. Thanks debbluebird, I thought that's what a TENS unit was but I couldn't remember, also I didn't know how it would work for WED. I think any...

Re: I guess that I will give up !

This is such a living hell. I just don't know anymore. I just don't see any alternative. I know how you feel. When my WED flares up every afternoon and into the wee hours of the morning, I am all consumed by it. I can't think of anything else. It also exacerbates my chronic pain and it feels unendi...

Re: I guess that I will give up !

I'm sure you get as many questions as I do: everyone wants to know what it feels like. My latest answer is that it's like Tourettes Syndrome of the body. No control over it. Anyone relate to that? Oh geez, there's nothing worse! I haven't augmented that I know of, I am pretty sure my situation was ...

Re: I guess that I will give up !

Not sure what homeopathis stuff you mean, but I have done several things. TENS unit, massage, heat, cold, support stockings (like for surgery), pacing. It seems like I've done everything. I halucinate with muscle relaxants. Opiods - darvocet, oxycodone, percocet, loratab, vicodin, morphine, durages...

Re: Zyprexa miracle

That's awesome you found something that works for you. I wouldn't be brave enough to try something known to make WED worse. I am paranoid about stuff like that because I have had too many bad experiences with bad drugs in the past several months, either making WED worse or making me feel completely ...

Re: Something Awesome Happened Last Night!

Hang in there and stay away from antihistamines, if that is one of the problems. So glad you're doing much better!

Re: Coping with WED

Hey Y'all, I think that was an excellent question and I have been encouraged and "validated" after reading everyone's answers. My symptoms are almost constant and I am still searching for the right medicine(s) to give me some relief so while I am battling the symptoms it seems like every a...

Re: Finally, no more pramipexole !!!!

His questionnaire is probably all you need, but it might be helpful to identify the 2 or 3 things that you really want to get out of this. Maybe something like: 1. Review current medicine and suggest changes to something that is more effective 2. Determine how to work together between visits (you a...

Re: Something Awesome Happened Last Night!

Very nice day. Had one of the granddaughters over for the day and my wife and I had a great time. At one point we were having our granddaughter paint pictures, she is 3, and I drew a portrait of her in crayon. I haven't done any artwork in a long time, it was so fun. I just don't do anything like t...

Re: Finally, no more pramipexole !!!!

Views, His 11 page questionaire is my plan. He asked every conceivable question. What worked/didn't work? How much/how often. I scored a 16 on the Eppworth Sleepiness Test. I answered the miriad of questions. It kind of speaks for itself when my mom had to drive me to my appointment because I doze ...

Re: Finally, no more pramipexole !!!!

"Get busy living or get busy dying." Just 2 questons. What does the get busy dying supposed to do/mean here? And, if someone did choose that how would we all feel about whether they were feeling pressured to make that choice by this statement being put in front of them repetedly; Bad, Gui...

Re: Finally, no more pramipexole !!!!

Yep, it was klonopin withdrawl causing the insomnia. I finally slept fot 3 hours. Hi jakesmom - I have been reading your posts and my heart goes out to you! This disease and all of the meds definitely sucks! I really hope your doctor will come around and be more receptive to you and your needs. I w...
