Re: New to the boards, but not to RLS (WED)
Hi everyone-- I haven't been on here much this summer. It's been very busy for me. I work at a computer all day--hard on the RLS. I've been using that RL Solution during the day too, and it's continued to work for me, even when I get it in my elbows/arms while working. I still don't understand why i...

Re: amino acids...
I ordered the Western Reserve trial pack. Two nights I've taken them - no question I'm tired when I do - almost like a natural sleeping pill. But, I've had worsened WED within 45 minutes or so both nights. Could be unrelated. Last night I took this first - at 10 PM. By 11 I was have a hard time kee...

Re: amino acids...
I just wanted to let everyone know that the stuff my mom and I are using from Western Reserve Labs is working GREAT! I went on a short vacation last week and took a few capsules with me just in case, and I'm glad I did. I needed one after being out riding bikes and swimming. I couldn't even sit at t...

Re: New to the boards, but not to RLS (WED)
Hi Everyone-- I just wanted to let you know that I've ordered another bottle of the RL Solution. It's working so well for both Mom and me that I'm kind of hesitant to say anything for fear I'll jinx it! My mother is sleeping better than she has in (literally!) years. I can sit still at the computer ...

Hi Polar Bear--
It bothered me that I recommended that site and you couldn't order from it, so I emailed them. If you use their Contact Us page and send your name and address, they'll get you a free sample. Please let me know if it works to do that and if the capsules work for you too!
Thanks

Re: New to the boards, but not to RLS (WED)
My ferritin level is 127, and my mom's is 113. That's what I meant by our ferritin levels being fine. I made it a point to get them checked and my doctor even agreed about it needing to be above 100. That's why we tried this Western Reserve Labs thing. Which is still working, by the way!

If anyone wants to Google the lab name, you have to use quotes ("Western Reserve Labs") or you end up at Case Western Reserve University. Here's a link to the site though: www.WesternReserveLabs.com

If the above link doesn't work or gets deleted, try googling "Western Reserve Labs" (with quotes) or you'll end up at Case Western Reserve University.

Re: amino acids...
My mother and I both have RLS/WED, but Mom's is WAY worse. She has it every night and most of the day, whereas I only get it occasionally. Sometimes we each get it into our arms too, but mine seems to be in my joints (knees & elbows) and hers seems to be more generalized. She's suffered with it ...

Re: New to the boards, but not to RLS (WED)
So it's been a while since I last posted, so I'm updating a little: Mom & I both had our ferritin levels checked, and we're both actually fine in that respect. About a year and a half ago I found out my Vitamin D levels were way low, so I've been taking extra every day and now they're fine. I do...

Re: New to the boards, but not to RLS (WED)
#ViewsAskew--Mom and I must be a couple of those lucky ones who don't have any luck with the conventional medicine. They give her percocet, but that makes her sick and/or drowsy. No way to go through life. We've been trying some over the counter stuff. It seems to work great for a day or two, then i...

Re: New to the boards, but not to RLS (WED)
#rthom--We've done the gabapentin and lyrica, and it helped for a short time, but Mom's symptoms returned. She's had a ferritin level, and I can't remember offhand what the level was. She gets blood tests fairly often at her age, so it shouldn't be a problem to get a new one. But she's also increase...
