Re: Referred to Stanford
I was on Tramadol for RLS for a little over four months. Although I haven't heard anything about augmentation with Tramadol, I do know for certain that it greatly lowers your seizure threshold which makes you much more likely to have seizures. This happened to me with it. I was in a parking lot at t...

My Ferritin Levels
Okay, I am confused . How in the hell does my ferritin go from 30 last year to 113 this year without taking ANY oral iron supplements and/or iron infusions? My symptoms have improved maybe 20% since last year when I got my ferritin checked last year, although it is hard to tell because my symptoms a...

Re: Am alone here or is there someone else also?
Do you know what the strength of the Requip is or what the level of your ferritin level is? Unfortunately for me and a lot of others here, finding a doctor who understands WED is not easy. For some it takes years. Some of us have to teach our doctors about the disease and how to treat it, but you ha...

Re: Am alone here or is there someone else also?
I rub the soles of my feet on my calves sometimes, too. I just saw my new primary care doc who is actually specialized in internal medicine. I augmented on the first dose of Requip, so I unfortunately don't have much experience with it for long term. What dose are you currently on for the Requip? Ha...

I have been on the Nucynta- both the regular and the extended release. The extended release helped me for almost nine months.

Re: RLS or FML?
I am about to go crazy. My neurologist quit all of a sudden on me regarding the opioids and in so few words- myself. He didn't even tell me to my face. He had a nurse do it. My psychiatrist can't see me until the 18th because he was out of town for a week and can't prescribe pain meds, I quit the ca...

Re: Poppy seed tea - incredibly effective for me
Are the poppy seeds that you drink the same as the ones in say the spice bottles by McCormick and J.R. Watkins? I am thinking about getting the ones in the J.R. Watkins bottle.

Re: RLS or FML?
And they called to tell me that I was diagnosed with OSA instead of CSA which all of my other doctors say that it sounds like based on my symptoms. Looks like it is another un-hit Whack-a-Mole. Sigh...A company called Pulmonary RX called me as I was on my way to take my mom to get her Midline/Port/P...

Re: I would just like to vent and also ask some questions..
Hi, Newly! Jul is right about staying positive and keep holding on. I am only 21 and have had bouts of RLS since I was about 15-16. Mine is all over my body and I do have to take pain killers for it because I usually have bad side effects from the other drugs for it. To answer your question, I do ha...

Re: RLS or FML?
Beth, the sleep study did reveal something. I have been experiencing CSA since probably Feb of 2012, but the first sleep study I had (May 2012) didn't show anything (I only got about 3 hours of sleep) except RLS and PLMs (which the neuro didn't even talk about treating. Poop Face.) However, this tim...

Re: Careless
If only I had large feet. I am 21 (my birthday was on the 18th) and wear a 1 and a half in KIDS. I actually went to a shoemaker a couple of years ago in L.A. and got two pair of high heels and a pair of flats for 10,000. They weren't great, but he was reputable (the last customer he saw before me wa...

Re: Nice to find you. I have had RLS for forty five yrs
rthom, for books I would suggest The Out-of-Sync Child by Carol Stock Kranowitz. I did a quick search and hers seems to be the best/most reputable of the books concerning sensory defensiveness and sensory disorders. Also, since you still have the characteristics of someone with sensory defensiveness...
