Re: Relaxis Pad

Yes they called me back and told me about the special in June which would, in effect, reduce the cost to approximately $28 to trial for a month if it doesn't work and you send it back. What they couldn't tell me is what they do with the relaxis pads that are restocked. Do they ship them back out aft...

Re: BELSOMRA

Well, my insurance company has refused to pay for it. Between my wife and I, we have had them pay for some VERY expensive medications and this is the first time that they have refused to cover something. As I understand it, the list price runs somewhere around $7000 for a 30 day supply. There is al...

Re: RLS friendly drug for major anxiety

Lorazepam, Temazepam are in same class as Clonazepam, shorter acting and shorter half life. Might consider??

Re: RLS friendly drug for major anxiety

You may have already tried herbal supplements. If not Valerian is good for sleep and anxiety. Only side effects I had was some mild diarrhea after a long period of taking it (but I also was dealing with untreated depression in addition to anxiety so who knows). I took Valerian up to 900mg sometimes ...

Re: RLS friendly drug for major anxiety

I took an anti-psychotic which helps with anxiety but it's not good for RLS. But if you're on methadone and it's managing the RLS it might be worth a try short term. It does put on rapid weight, but seems to be more of a problem and more rapid gain for slimmer people. Zyprexa is the name of it. Low ...

Re: RLS friendly drug for major anxiety

I've been on Clonazepam (was initially given it in combination with Carbidopa/Levadopa) to treat my RLS. It helped the anxiety too. However, it lost the sleep aide and RLS effectiveness over time but still helped my anxiety. Anyhow, Psych decided to try Lorazepam because it is shorter acting for the...

Re: Horizant

Well 7 weeks on Horizant and even though have been on Bupropion (Generic Wellbutrin) 3 months, I believe the depression is getting worse again. Of course battling another chronic disease/illness (possibly auto immune) wasn't a mood booster. So I have tried gluten and mostly dairy free diet for 4 wee...

Re: Opioids

I guess I'm just slow.... It has been discussed as treatment for an auto-immune disorder (which I am now dealing with) so was wondering how it would affect RLS. Thanks for clearing it up for me though. Another question. Is pain (feels like nerve fibers, not muscular) in thighs a RLS symptom? This is...

Re: Opioids

Anyone familiar with low dose naltrexone (LDN) for use in restless legs syndrome treatment? I know it is used for auto immune disorders, as well as, fibromyalgia and some neuropathies.

Re: Relaxis Pad

No. I got call about the trial and 15% restocking fee which equates to $128 or so if it doesn't work for me. Is it still working for you? Thought about asking what they are selling the returned (used) pads for and what that restocking fee would be?

Re: Horizant

Okay Horizant users. Re-trialing Horizant again. I cannot remember all side effects I had in the past but I vaguely remember after being on it for almost a year having some vision issues and dry eyes mainly at night. Then spring of 2014 after only 2 weeks couldn't open eyelids at night after being o...

Tramadol - Anyone have successful long treatment?

Anyone have successful long RLS treatment with Tramadol? If so, how long and dosing schedule? Also, do you take Tramadol Immediate Release or extended release? Does is cause constipation issues like other opiates? I've read for some reason it's only opioid that can augment, although I don't understa...

Re: BELSOMRA

How unusual bupropion made you sleepy. I have to take it no later than 7 a.m. The insomnia is not as bad as it was originally but I was also taking the very low dose methadone at the the time which was also alerting for me. The combination was almost 95% coverage for RLS just the insomnia problems a...

Re: BELSOMRA

I wish I had taken the samples and just held onto them and added to my stash of medicine cabinet Rx's that I have failed but for some reason or another have never thrown them all out, I would have taken the risk and mailed them your way. Mine and your luck we'd both be in big trouble. Maybe when you...
