Pending approval for CBD Oil by the FDA?
This announcement appeared today. It appears that the FDA may be on the verge of approving CBD oil for the treatment of pediatric epilepsy. Of course, once it is on the market, it will be used off label for many other purposes. Approval will also increase the pressure on the FDA to remove marijuana ...

Re: Progress with my local doctor?
Final update on this thread. I met with the Nurse Practitioner at my new doctor's office for the second time today. He will be my primary care provider since he can write prescriptions for opioids. When I first met with him last month, I left a copy of the Mayo Clinic publication on using opioids fo...

Re: Requip and Sleep Quality
I agree with Holland and will add my recent experience to his comments. I have been in the process of changing my PCP during the last six weeks. The change was necessary because I finally found one locally who is willing to write scripts for opioids. The only condition is that he wants monthly urine...

Re: CELL PHONES - ENGINEER - WARRANTY !!
I just got an email from the airline asking for feedback about my delayed flight. I always suspect that these emails are fishing for complements about how well they handled the situation. Well, if that is what they wanted, they most definitely did not get it. I rarely give choose either the best or ...

Re: Medical Marijuana
KySue, there are several ways to find a doctor who "gets it" with RLS. The easiest is to go to one of the RLS Foundation's Quality Care Clinics, but this will probably require you to travel. The doctors at these clinics are usually involved in RLS research, so they are the experts. They ar...

Re: Medical Marijuana
KySue, I think that most everyone here has been in your situation with respect to augmentation. The normally recommended maximum dose for Mirapex is 0.25 to 0.5mg when treating RLS. Higher doses are allowed for treating Parkinsons. So, you are currently taking almost 10 times more Mirapex than the c...

Re: CELL PHONES - ENGINEER - WARRANTY !!
PB, getting back to your original post - this isn't the first time that I have heard a complaint about an Apple phone where the home button stopped working and the repair people claimed that it was due to water damage. I am not an Apple customer and never will be. I have only had one phone that expe...

Re: CELL PHONES - ENGINEER - WARRANTY !!
PB, still mid trip. My seat for the first leg was almost like the one that you describe, seat just in front of the toilet except that this one was mid-way back in the cabin. Therefore, it was the worst seat on the plane in all respects because it did not recline, it was a middle seat and I had to st...

Re: Ropinerole and anxiety
Anxiety is listed among the less serious side effects for ropinirole. A less serious is simply one that doesn't call for immediately stopping the medication and does not mean that it isn't a problem. Therefore, I hope that you are able to work things out to get the prescription for oxycodone worked ...
