Re: Is your DA causing augmentation?

Eileen, I wish that you hadn't needed to find us but I am glad that you did. I also wish that you tale of woe wasn't unusual, but it is one that many of us have been through ourselves. Obviously you need to find a doctor who is capable and willing to treat your RLS. One option is to travel to one of...

Re: Using Trail Camera to observe RLS

I don't even try to monitor deep sleep. I was placed on a CPAP machine when I was first diagnosed with RLS because I also have a form of sleep apnea called UARS. CPAP isn't recognized as a treatment for UARS, but then nothing else is. But one of the advantages of the CPAP is that it records the tim...

Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

looking at the map I am disappointed to see how FEW Foundation Quality Care Centers are in existence Part of the problem is that there are so few doctors who are well enough versed in the treatment of RLS to become Quality Care Centers. Re: Attempting to get off Ropinirole - again

I've been trying to get off Ropinirole for 4 years, also unsuccessfully. It seems to be the only thing that works. I am currently experiencing augmentation symptoms. I really think that doctors don't understand/know how to treat this disease. Getting off of ropinirole requires finding a doctor who ...

Re: Experience with Injectafer?

Holland, hope this trend continues and that you are able to back down on some of your meds. What a wonderful thought. I wish I was a candidate, but sadly I am not since my ferritin level is over 600 and that did not ease my symptoms at all.

Re: New to this group

The maximum recommended dose of pramipexole to treat RLS these days is 0.25mg/day. At a combined total of 1.5mg/day and with the symptoms that you describe, you are almost certainly experiencing augmentation, which is a side effect that is specific to RLS. Take a look at our forum on Augmentation to...
