Re: Good sleep results with Belsomra
I want to clarify my original post about Belsomra. I do not use this drug to deal with the urge to move my legs, I use it instead to help me get into the mental relaxed state required to sleep. I use other drugs for the leg movement problem. For me correcting one without correcting the other is just...

Re: Good sleep results with Belsomra
Sorry to hear that Ruth, I have BCBS and they have paid for the first prescription. I understand that it's expensive and some of us can't afford the purchase every month. I understand Horizant is also expensive and works for some people. Does anyone have any ideas on how those of us who either don't...

Good sleep results with Belsomra
The abbreviated story: I have not been able to get to sleep before 3 AM for the last 5 years because as I described it, "I could not shut my mind down." In other words I couldn't stop thinking about things (any and everything). Over the last 5 years I have tried Many drugs with poor result...

Re: Circadian Disorders and Depression
Regarding comments of May 8, 2016 by Badnights, "It kind of blows my mind that researchers aren't all over this, but a look at the literature will tell you why - the existence of this phenomenon is not covered in any general description of WED/RLS that I can recall" I think you hit the nai...

I also find that exhausting my body (either by work or play) works just about as good as anything!

Re: L-Theanine Experiment
Update to my Nov 5, 2013 post... I have found that (or it seems) my body adapts to the L-Theanine and Valarin Root after 10 - 14 days of continuous use so I tried using it for 3-5 days in a row and then stop taking it for 7-10 days and then repeating taking it again. As long as I do this I get good ...

I fly as high as I possibly can! Literally! And if no ones looking I may do a hammerhead or two. Nothing like looking straight down at the ground from 5,000'.

So do you think it is associated with the Methadone?

RLS/Methadone/Groin Buzz
This question is directed to those who are primararly on Methadone as a treatment for RLS. Has anyone with RLS and on Methadone for treatment experienced the sensation of a buzzing (similar to the sensation of a cell phone in your pocket buzzing during the ring cycle) in the groin area? The buzz may...

Re: L-Theanine Experiment
After reading the post on the effects of L-Theanine I decided to give it a try, my normal sleep pattern is getting to bed between 1-3 A.M. and getting to sleep an hour later. The following are my results... I started taking the following at 9P.M.: L-Theanine (200 mg), Melatonin (10 mg) and Valerian ...

Re: Mind won't relax/can't sleep
Ok here is the short term sleep results of me using the following drugs: Melatonin 10 mg, Valerian Root 500 mg, L-Theanine 200 mg. Taken at 9 P.M. One each. And I DID NOT discontinue my doctor prescribed drugs. After taking the drugs at 9 P.M. I am sleepy by 10-10:30 P.M. I go to bed and my ability ...

Re: Mind won't relax/can't sleep
Thanks for your replays, after I posted this I found exactly what you were referring to. Polar Bear your reading my mail as what you described is me. I am going to try some of the suggested unproven homeopathic drugs first and see what results I get. I will let you know if I get positive results. I ...

Mind won't relax/can't sleep
Ok here's the scenario: Yes I have RLS, and when it's under control (no uncontrolled leg movement while in bed) and I try to go to sleep I find that my mind won't relax (quit thinking) and I can't sleep. In other words no matter what time I go to bed I won't go to sleep until 3 to 4 A.M.. I have had...
