Re: Using the CP Relief Wand for RLS

@sleepdancer2 I have tried TENS with stick-on electrodes and it does not work for me either on the my legs. The current apparently does not penetrate well. TENS electrodes are very unpredictable but if it works well for you on the lower back keep on doing that. The stick-on electrodes normally can b...

Re: Using the CP Relief Wand for RLS

@Polar Bear I sympathize with your situation with the arthritis. It may be possible for you to zero in on the trigger points as the source of the symptoms and reduce or eliminate your symptoms without exercise. I fully understand that there can be a point where nothing will work due to age and disea...

Re: Using the CP Relief Wand for RLS

@ViewsAskew I understand what you mean and thank you for your views. The symptoms of RLS that are felt are elusive. You might try applying some spot pressure with the finger to determine if a certain nerve trigger point is the source of the symptom. If applying significant pressure to the trigger po...

Re: Using the CP Relief Wand for RLS

"Very glad you found something that works for you - I hope it continues to work for a long time." Thank you. It sounds like you understand your situation very well and it is similar but different than mine. Most people would not go as far as we have in trying to understand this. I would on...

Re: Living With RLS for 20 years

Re: Karate chops I am sure that everyone has a different sensation with RLS symptoms. Until I focused on the specific nerves, all I had was the general feeling of anxiety in the muscles before my leg jerked. Also, you described muscle anxiety is so intense that you jerk your leg voluntarily before t...

Re: Using the CP Relief Wand for RLS

LOL. Crazy disease. I am sure there are different manifestations of the same disease. Your system is different than mine but I am certain that you will find a pesky nerve somewhere under the skin that is causing all that grief. That is why the karate chop works. The CP Relief Wand would replace the ...

Re: Living With RLS for 20 years

When I first hit my leg to try to stop the jerking, that is when I began searching for the exact location of the pesky RLS nerves. Hitting only works if you hit the right spot. The CP Relief Wand helps find the spot and it does "all the hitting" by gently putting the nerve to sleep for the...

Re: Living With RLS for 20 years

The electrodes are pressed against the skin in the area of the symptoms. Yes, I agree, that until you realize that there are specific nerves under the skin, there is likely only a general anxious feeling before leg jerking. The CP Relief Wand does most of the work finding the nerves for you and you ...

Re: Using the CP Relief Wand for RLS

Re: Trigger Nerve I call it that because it is the nerve that triggers the "muscle jerk". I have RLS in my legs. Same as you, first I get the "diffuse feeling of anxiety" in the muscles which builds up gradually to a peak and the muscle jerks. Just before and as the muscle jerks,...

Using the CP Relief Wand for RLS

Apparently no one has posted anything about this treatment method for RLS. It works so well that I should share this with fellow RLS sufferers. My RLS symptoms have worsened over the years and are severe. I recently discovered how to use the CP Relief Wand for my RLS. It works great and I sleep well...

Re: Living With RLS for 20 years

I have used my fists to hit my leg too. It works but My wife complains about the bruising. I am seeing my Neurologist in a week and I will ask him about the ferritin serum level. Thank you for the tip. May I ask, what do you use to increase the ferritin serum level? Also, the CP Relief Wand is a TEN...

Living With RLS for 20 years

While a new member, I have read the postings here from time to time years ago and they have greatly helped me cope with my own severe RLS. I am age 74, have a pacemaker, and most significantly, RLS drugs make me sick. As my RLS symptoms worsened over the past 15-20 years, it seems that just as the ...

Re: Venus Insufficiency cause of RLS?

I have had RLS for over 15 years and five years ago, I had the long vein removed in my right leg due to a diagnosis of reflux in that leg. The reflux was due to bad check valves in that vein. After the operation, my RLS went away in that leg but came back to a minor degree within a few years. My sev...

Re: Newly Approved Device - available in US

In the past, before my RLS got really bad, I used a barber shop vibrator. I would place the hand pad of the vibrator directly on the RLS symptom area and press hard wile activating the vibrator. It worked very well until my RLS got worse. No prescription necessary either.

Re: Cause and cure for RLS

I have done similiar exercises and it worked well for me until my symptoms started frequently coming back during the night and I had to get up several times each night to do it over again. I hope it keeps working for you.
