Re: New Kratom User - when to take
At this point I can honestly say that the CBD:THC and very small doses (four 00 caps of red vein) are helping. The real test is later this week or next when I completely eliminate the opioid (kicked off by a stupid doctor and two stupid assistants finally). I've had no adverse effects from the krato...

Re: New Kratom User - when to take
Thank you Holland. I take about 600 mg gabapentin and currently one Norco and 1/2 ms contin a day. That doesn't seem like much to me, but the pain place said it was "dangerously high." Oh well. Monday they will likely cut off the opiates, or maybe give me one Norco a day and then cut it off. Opiate ...

Re: New Kratom User - when to take
In case anyone checks this (older) thread, I have the red vein kratom that I put in 00 capsules. I've only tried taking three or four of the 00 capsules because I'm afraid of side effects. At that dose, the kratom seems to have a mild stimulant effect. Is one strain better for RLS than others? I've ...

Re: New Kratom User - when to take
Now that is funny! "Everything burned but we're not replacing anything in case it's found, which it won't be because everything burned." But my kratom was found! Two weeks after it was coded in as "delivered." Argh. I'm up to my ears in chaff. Where's the wheat in life?? Lol

Re: Excellent article on opioids
Thank you Beth. I now have a referral to a neurologist (not for a while tho). I hope I can hold out. After three months without a mailbox,I finally have one and am going to reorder the kratom (which was stolen from the post office after spending months deciding to get it). Ugh.

Re: New Kratom User - when to take
Thank you for the excellent advice all. I've been frustrated by doctors, so I finally ordered some kratom, and it was stolen from my mail. It's almost funny. So I have to reorder the kratom and make sure they ship UPS!

Re: Excellent article on opioids
Qyx, I'm there, and have realized that no doctors will help me, so...extreme creativity is called for. That and possibly something illegal. I really don't care anymore.

Re: New Kratom User - when to take
Thank you Betty, that's a really good idea. I've seen some of these articles and studies. What I might do is highlight the stuff I've already told them and send by snail mail. With a note "get a clue!" [just kidding about that last] I know I'm preaching to the choir, but what makes RLS different and...

Re: New Kratom User - when to take
I'm not very good at educating doctors...Not sure why, but I've always been a target for bullies. My doctors don't take me seriously, and are borderline abusive. I tried to talk my GP into gabapentin encarbil, and she arrogantly told me I don't know what I'm talking about, and it's the same as regul...

Re: Excellent article on opioids
Thank you. I'm a coward when it comes to drugs, so I'll probably start with an 8th tsp. Then if I find it helpful, I'll get the scale. Thanks again!

Re: New Kratom User - when to take
Hi, I haven't used kratom before, but since I've been cut off my pain meds and my GP refuses to prescribe anything except ropinerole, I'm trying it.
If you have powder, how much should you measure?

Re: Excellent article on opioids
Insanity, just about describes the position some (most?) of us are in. I had requested a trial rx of gabapentin encarbil from my GP. I take gabapentin but not the compound. Yesterday, my GP emailed me and said "no, you're already taking gabapentin, that is what is recommended for RLS. If it isn't wo...

Re: Excellent article on opioids
Thank you Beth. I appreciate the outrage, even if I truly wish that none of us had it. Yes, he said he had a lot of patients, NONE of whom complained of RLS. So off I go. He mentioned suboxone, and a place where you can do yoga, get acupuncture, and meditate, as if I could actually sit still long en...
