Re: Moving Mayhem

Best wishes for life in California. Nothing like sunshine to soothe the body and soul. It must have been so much fun giving away your art supplies and plants. Giving really is better than receiving.

Re: Two very different doctors' visits

I found Sinemet great for almost immediate relief in a movie, car or concert but I augmented on it very quickly when used daily. I confirm the Foundation's stand that it is not for daily use.

Re: Power Plate

I prefer to read, love reading, but if I need to learn how to fix something a video is better for me.
A sister loves to listen to books on tape, I can't stand them. On a long drive last summer she listened to one and I read a different book.

Re: Moving Mayhem

Nice story of giving your stuff to the young couple. They would have been over the moon to get it and probably still remember you fondly. In 1980 I bought a tiny (not like today's) house in Idaho for $40,000 and seven years later sold it for $40,000. I figured I'd had free rent for that time so I wa...

Or they think they can take drugs and get away with it, they play by different rules.

Re: allergy nasal spray question

Thanks, I'll look for a generic Flonase. Last night probably didn't have anything to do with Alanase, just a "normal" bad night but I'm always optimistic of having a better night tonight.

allergy nasal spray question

I've been using Flixonase (Flonase) for years with no problems but recently the design of the bottle was changed and it is awkward to use. I changed to Alanase whose active ingredient is beclomethasone dipropionate. On the third night I just couldn't settle in a way different to my usual legs proble...

Re: Moving Mayhem

This is the boy/man in whose home we now remove our shoes at the door.

That's so funny, but what a clever solution!

Re: Lonliness

Even though New Zealand was originally settled by English and Scots (and of course, earlier, Maori) the Irish influence is huge. Today 12% of Kiwis have Irish blood. Sisters of Mercy came from Ireland from about 1850 to 1900 to teach and every second Catholic church in New Zealand seems to be called...

Re: Lonliness

I had had simple gold framed glasses for years and while they are fine for younger people I thought I'd get something more daring when I got my last prescription. Not too daring as glasses go but an olive gray frame with a definite "eyeglass" shape. I thought I looked modern when my sister...

Re: Keeping your prescriptions safe

When my husband was sick the pharmacist would actually whisper my address when I picked up his oxycodone and other strong medicines so nobody would overhear where I lived, not that anyone knew what I was picking up anyway. The day he died the palliative care nurse took most of the leftover prescript...

That's absolutely fabulous, almost a miracle, best wishes. Your drugs must have really been fighting each other.
