Re: CELL PHONES - ENGINEER - WARRANTY !!

That really stinks. Can you get a second opinion? A year and a half ago I bought a new iPhone 6s. I also bought a store extended warranty for five years for one-tenth of the phone's price. Yes, expensive, but I thought it was potentially worth it as five years is a long time. The original phone warr...

Re: Whacha readin?

Unless you are French this one needs to be paid attention to read the subtitles. La Mante Teaser: In Paris, police search for a psychopath whose killings are inspired by Jeanne Deber, aka ‘The Mantis’; a notorious murderer who terrorised the city 25 years earlier. The now-incarcerated Deber (Carole ...

Re: Magnesium Oil

I'm a skeptic but still bought some as well as a cream. I think rubbing any lotion on my legs has the same effect.

Re: Levothyroxine, thryoid and is this why I'm so darn tired?

I have no thyroid or parathyroids. The thyroid was removed due to goiter. There was a two per cent chance of the parathyroids being damaged and they were. They regulate the uptake of calcium so I take a large dose of calcium and vitamin D twice a day. They are taken with food. Iron is taken without ...

I don't think there are any specific locations for this sort of "therapy".

Re: Whacha readin?

Betty, I look forward to seeing the new Shetland series when it gets to Netflix—but I'll still need the subtititles!
Steve, with your history Longmire would have been extra terrific for you. It has been ranked one of the most popular TV series, it's easy to see why.

Re: Anybody have tips to fool the brain?

Recently I've started to do jigsaw puzzles in the middle of the night (along with all the other things I do). There is enough concentration to help my symptoms go away faster than just hoping they will.

Re: Whacha readin?

Betty, I love the Commitments too. The movie was great and I could watch it again. I liked Angela's Ashes until the end when McCourt was such an unsympathetic character. Not a book, but two of my favourite series on Netflix are Longmire about a modern but old fashioned sheriff in the still wild west...

Re: RLS Foundation Video

I watched this straight through for the second time, the first time was about a year ago. It is an excellent video, real people telling the reality of living with RLS unlike all of the "cure" videos that pop up on YouTube next to this one. Knowing they would be full of quackery I didn't wa...

Re: Whacha readin?

I haven't read Maeve Binchey (maybe it's time I should) but just finished The American Girl by Rachael English, an Irish writer. The story starts in Boston in 1968 when an Irish American girl gets pregnant and is sent by her parents to Ireland to one of those horrible baby places where the girls are...

Re: Painful RLS

Every single time I wake up in the night (usually three times) my legs ache and I need to stay up for between a half hour and an hour. I take .25mg ropinerole in a split dose at 8 and 9pm, then 100mg (I think) slow release tramadol upon going to bed. I just accept that's the way it is. The chance of...

Re: Next Foundation Webinar - Opioid Advocacy

RLS is a neurological sensory-motor disorder with symptoms that are produced deep within the brain. Deb, I’ve memorised this sentence, it’s such a clear definition. Your story is excellent. I had my sister read it, and even though she has a mild case, she called My RLS “mental” after I told her it ...

Re: Intermittent Fasting

Nothing like a bad dose of influenza to lose weight. It’s almost two months on for me and most food makes me curl my nose up. However I don’t recommend it.

Re: Painful RLS

It’s 2:00am and I’m on holiday but my RLS doesn’t know that. I’ve been reading unread posts, don’t know how I missed this one as my RLS has always been the painful kind from long before I took any medication. Just pain, pain, pain. My vitamin D level is perfect.

Re: New to Iron

Yes, good on both fronts. I had been starting to have symptoms in my inner forearms (funny that corresponds to nmy primary area of calves/Achilles). My arms haven’t bothered me since starting the iron.
