What Calms You in the Night?
i’m finding thst my old stand-by for calm when I get up at night now not such a good thing. My comfort drink at least once a night, has been hot chocolate made with whole milk & Hershey’s Syrup. Decadent, I know! I think I may be having issues with Dairy. So I need some ideas to replace my hot c...

Re: Calm Legs
I'll try Calm Legs if I can find it. I was hoping to just pick some up but the 3 stores I checked in were out. My local pharmacy can probably order it in. (yes, Yawny, I we have 2 basset hounds, Maggie & Matilda. The funniest dogs ever!)

Calm Legs
I was looking through the notes from my visit to Scripps and found Calm Legs written at the top of a page. I remember my doctor mentioning this-over-the counter pill and that it might help. I had forgotten all about it until today. So my question is; has anyone tried this? I plan to pick up a bottle...

Re: Prescription Refills
Joanie, Thanks for the encouraging word. I am in the 6-8 hour cycle is-it-time yet circle. If I go every 6 hours I run out of pills (why bother putting that time on?) 8 hours finds my legs dancing and back hurting. I'm hoping I'll get a chance to try the ER oxycodone.

Re: Prescription Refills
It's time for another refill on my oxycodone. I learned my lesson last month and I messaged my PA a week plus one day with the request. I mentioned the reaction I was experiencing on Requip, anxiety, and let her know that I stopped it because the anxiety was harder to deal with than the RLS. I also ...

Ropinerole and anxiety
After visiting a quality care center in February, I have been taking .25mg of Ropinirole nightly. I had traveled to La Jolla to see a doctor at Scripps Medical Center. I told him about augmenting on dopamine agonists and he prescribed Ropinirole. He says it is a gentler d.a, I took it for 30 days an...

I hear you! I'll use half the bottle so at least the family will know I tried.

Re: Magnesium Oil
If I had a nickel for every item that people have given me to try I could maybe buy a milkshake which would make me feel better lol. People care and want to help but golly it gets old. My daughter and husband get excited every time I receive something. I understand but it's hard to explain to others...

Magnesium Oil
Last week a friend gave me a spray bottle of Ancient Minerals Magnesium Oil. I was wondering if anyone here has used this with any success. I visited their website for usage directions etc. I've tried it but it may be too early to tell if it will be effective. I already take extra magnesium daily an...

Re: Hyperarousal as symptom of rls
I don't have hyperarousal. I am exhausted during the day from lack of sleep. I wish I could be more active and alert. I try to maintain a schedule of sorts but usually I'm napping off and on.

Re: Whacha readin?
I found Longmire on Netflix during my dancing legs time in the wee hours of the morning. I was going to check it out but fell asleep, YAY!, and went on up to bed. I believe it takes place in Wyoming? We love Wyoming and drive through that state when we go to visit kids in Colorado. It should be good!

Re: Levothyroxine, thryoid and is this why I'm so darn tired?
Synthroid medication is definitely effective, so I disagree that it is pointless. I have no thyroid and wouldn't be functioning much less alive if it wasn't. The consistency angle is a good one. I usually drink a cup of coffee after taking my Synthroid in the morning. When I first went on this med I...

Re: Levothyroxine, thryoid and is this why I'm so darn tired?
I have been on Synthroid since 2004 when I had my thyroid removed due to cancer. I take it in the morning on an empty stomach and wait from 1/2 to 1 hour before eating. I am not given the optimum dose because too much could cause any cancer cells that would be left to grow. I have always had low ene...

Re: Whacha readin?
So glad that Shetland has a new series! My husband and I loved watching it. I don't need subtitles because I grew up listening to my Grandpa Frickleton talking. He came over to the US when he was 19. He kept his brogue until he died at age 88.
