Re: Augmentation questions
Two years ago, I experienced augmentation when I reached 0.5 mg of Mirapex per night. My doctor prescribed a long, slow reduction in the Mirapex. I went down to 0.375 for a month then 0.25 for a month then0 .125 for a month then 0.065 for a month. At that point, I went cold turkey for two weeks. We ...

Re: Restiffic and Relaxis Information
I have experienced mixed results with Restiffic foot pads. At $ 300+, the wraps are way over-priced and may not be durable enough for long-term use. Inserting one's foot in the pad is problematic. I usually find relief from a tingling foot by applying an ice pack for 30 seconds. My doctor does not know how or why it works, other than to say the coldness may shock nerve endings. Similarly, I wonder if a local patch that delivers a numbing agent might work? Does anyone have any information abou...

Re: Erratic results with Gabapentin
I weaned off Mirapex for 20 nights, while experimenting with Gabapentin (300-600 mg). Experienced varying symptoms every night regardless of the Gaba dose. My doctor now has name back on Mirapex (125 mg) and Gabapentin (300 mg). He says the Gaba should keep me from increasing Mirapex dose. So far, h...
