Re: 5 days on Mirapex, can I stop cold turkey?
Lyrica which I recently stopped after 6 months because it didn't work and Gabapentin which I was on for years which stopped working. I also have ambien to help with sleep which I started a month ago. I see the neuro in 2 weeks. The only med I haven't tried is methadone which is being considered by n...

5 days on Mirapex, can I stop cold turkey?
I have given mirapex a second try after 20 + years but it still causes vomiting, even with Ondansetron. I have been on .125mg for 5 days.
Can I stop cold turkey? My neuro is out of town, no one on her staff answering. I am desperate to stop.

Re: Gralise
Gralise, extended gabapentin, doesn't seem to work any better for me than plain old gabapentin. Gralise = $265/month Gabapentin = $7.00/month.

Gralise
My Neuro is prescibing Gralise. Gabapentin works ok for me but does not completely control my RLS/PLMD. I've tried everything else but opiods and Horizant. Other meds all have severe side effects for me leading to visits to Urgent Care. Gralise will be the latest in a long line of trial and lots of ...

Re: Help Please
Hi Beth,Thank you for your voluntary/involuntary movement decriptions. They help me clairify my various feelings of discomfort. I definitely have WED/RLS. I'm 70 yrs old and first noticed the creepy/crawlies in Jr. High but was not officially diagnosed until I was in my 40's. I was diagnosed with PL...

Re: Help Please
Thank you all for the excellent recommendations. I do monitor my iron levels and also take 65 mg iron with 1,000 mg vit C on an empty stomach daily. Last month my ferritin level was 82 ng/mL, so is low. My PCP is not familiar with RLS so when she told me my ferritin level was normal I had to educate...

Help Please
I was diagnosed with RLS in 1992 after years of symptoms and PLMD in 2013. Polysomnography done 2013. Gabapentin, Klonopin, Depakote no longer help. I'm allergic to dopamine agonists. Last week started Lyrica 75 mg in AM, 200 mg in PM. Symtoms nightly and often daily have worsened to severe jerking/...

Re: I think I found a cure from this message board
Regarding Taurine + GABA = do you take any prescription meds such as the ones I take: Gabapentin, Depakote, and Clonazepam? I will have to research and see if these can be used at the same time. Does anyone know? My prescription meds no longer work, I have tried other prescription meds but have an a...
