Out of desperation last night I tried nyquil for my cold and my legs went nuts despite my normal gabapentin dose.
Double whammy because I was sick, stoned from the nyquil, and then had to stagger around the house for 4 hours till it wore off. Kinda comical but so not worth it.

So what is safe to take when I have congestion?
When I had a cold I used to take nyquil/dayquil
For allergies I used to take benedryl

I suspect those days are over now that I have wicked RLS.....true?
What are the alternatives that won't make me miserable?

Of course I write this while I sit in the evening and my legs are jerking all over the place. But the sensations are bearable on the gabapentin for now and I have hope that there are many options to try.

Interesting about kratom. Many years ago I bought a bottle of concentrate and tried a few different dosage levels recreationally. Made me a little nauseous at higher doses but I wouldn't hesitate to try it again if I need to for this.
Glad people who need it can still get it!

Night #2 on 600mg gabapentin. Symptoms are a little worse than yesterday night, perhaps because of the extremely stressful day I had. I was unable to eat today as well, which may have an impact on symptoms. Lost 10 lbs so far since things got bad. Awake and twitching tonite with awful sensations. Ha...

Zero tolerance policies in the medical field are probably going to continue to get stricter. I understand what they are trying to do and while a noble idea it really is inhumane at times.
