Re: Neupro

Vkelly, welcome to the RLS Community. You will find lots of folks here that are helpful and really get how debilitating this disease is. From your description it sounds as though your RLS specialist is taking a standard acceptable approach to treating your augmentation with ropinirole. Checking ferr...

Re: What med cocktail works for you??

I am reading this to be that when you wake around 11 pm to midnight you take the "dipyridamole 75 mg, 360 mg kratom, 50 mg gabapentin, and 5 mg THC." Is it RLS that wakes you in this time frame? Are you able to go right back to sleep, or do you have to wait for the meds to kick in? Shari,...

Re: New on Requip - question

Emmy, the best thing that you can do in this circumstance is to take as low a dose of the Requip as possible. If you have no urge to move symptoms, that is, tendency to have the feeling that your legs want to jump around, in the late afternoon or evening, you should try a smaller dose. Your goal is ...

Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

...It worries me to go back on a DA after the hell i had to go thru to get off it... When I restarted a small dose of pramipexole, I felt pretty much the same. However, I have now been on a stable tiny dose (as part of my multiple medication RLS treatment) nearly a year and have had no signs of re-...

Re: How long does it take for Lyrica to start working?

I'm not sure how long it takes Lyrica at to work in restless leg syndrome. It does take longer to work for diabetic neuropathy than a week or so but Restless Leg Syndrome is a completely different illness. If you had no effect from trying the Gabapentin, including no side effects, it almost certainl...

Re: Introducing myself

I'm not sure that it's known if a low dose of pramipexole after a person has been on a high dose resets the receptors in the same way as being completely off it. I suspect that since some of us have been able to have a good result with extremely low dose pramipexole combined with other medications, ...

How much kratom are you using? 2g is reasonable. 0.2g is not enough to have any effect.

Re: Need Sleep

How about adding a tiny dose of a DA? Maybe 1/4 tablet of ropinirole or pramipexole if you have it. Or maybe add kratom to what you are taking.

I've been there. I NEED SLEEP!!

When you write a new post you have a little time to edit it (I think 15min or so). After that, the edit button disappears and only the mods can edit/delete.

Re: New guy

Gabapentin dosing varies more than most drugs from person to person. I'm sensitive, I take 100mg at 7:30 pm and 50 more at 11:30. If I take more I feel like zombie the next day. I would start at 1/2 of the dose you had problems with. What dose did you take?

...I really am not sure what im gona take after i have finally reset my recepters. Guess i will see how well Tramadol will do on its own... Sounds like you may be a candidate for low doses of multiple meds. Also tramadol has its own set of problems. After you have been off ropinirole for at least a...

Re: Dipyridamole and cannabis interaction

Well, my initial thoughts are that cannabis has been used by many many people for many years and so far there doesn't seem to be any known increase in bleeding problems. That said, there is an unfortunate lack of scientific studies regarding this and many other questions that arise with using THC. T...
