Re: Adenosine and drug options

I recall you said that in response to something Steve had asked so was surprised by his response. I don't know how old Dr B is, dipyridamole combined with aspirin WAS used extensively for prevention of recurrent stroke, it has not been used much as an outpatient drug for many years, due to better m...

Re: Adenosine and drug options

I had a two month follow-up with Dr B today. He hadn't seen the new study, so I said I would send it to him. I did and heard back awhile ago. He was very excited that this could be a novel way to treat RLS. He was not at all optimistic that this would occur soon; he had nothing positive to say abou...

Re: Hoping for a better night

Basset, I know you said in the past that you were hesitant to try Kratom because of possible heart effects. I know you said you had atrial fibrillation and generally the heart rate of atrial fibrillation is controlled by the other medicines that you take for your heart, and Kratom is unlikely to cau...

Re: Not sure if this is RLS or not

Chris, Steve's advice sounds perfect to me. Yry and get your doc to try Sinemet or Mirapex (similar). If no improvement it is almost certainly not RLS. Otherwise see RLS specialist.

Re: Sleeping Arrangements

...I really don't know what to do; he will not go to the doctor, take meds, etc. There are effective treatments for RLS. Unfortunately, many doctors don't know how to treat it. Perhaps he might join this group and learn how to get more effective treatment. I also wonder if he is depressed, he sound...

Re: Published Research - General Sleep and RLS (WED)

And Holland, I was curious what you would have to say about it and was glad to see what you had to say about dipyridamole. It didn't look like it would be too risky, but with anti-coagulants... ... to talk may new GP who is still in residency to let me try an experiment with dipyridamole. Hmmm... d...

Re: Published Research - General Sleep and RLS (WED)

... The abstract is a bit technical... They also report on a small 2 month clinical trial (not double blinded) where 10 out 13 patients given dipyridamole.... https://www.frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fnins.2017.00722/full I just read this article. "A bit technical"... well, maybe for ...

Re: tapering off ropinirole

Thanks stjohnh for your response. Has anyone tried using medical purpose cannabis oil during withdrawal of ropinerole? It is legal in Nevada. I am thinking the long term effects would be preferable to Lyrica or opioids. When I was getting off mirapex (similar to ropinerole) I tried cannabis which d...

Beth described it well. In summary, hellish is putting it mildly. I'm 70. It was right up there with the two or three worst experiences of my whole life.

Re: Kratom effectiveness isssue

Socal herbal remedies does seem to keep only a small inventory. They are frequently out of stock of something. Usually they restock in less than a week. If you are otherwise happy with them, the larger size you want will likely be back in stock soon. You can email Justin and he will tell you when a ...

www.socalherbalremedies.com most are $25/250g. I've used them many times. Reliable fast.

Some Reddit users recommend Mystic Island Kratoms. www.mysticislandkratoms.com. $21/250g. I haven't used them but will probably try them in the future.

Re: venlafaxine withdrawal

I think Steve is correct. Ask one of your docs for a prescription for the lowest dose mirapex 0.125mg. Won't interfere with depression treatment.

Re: Trying out Kratom

I weaned myself off opioids gradually also, although not as regimented. I want to try different strains but fear they may not be as potent. My last two batches of red borneo were darker in color and seemed less potent. I got a brand new batch the other day which is the bright green I had begun with...

Re: Is it Only Me ?

I bet most of our members could relate to these feelings, at least some of the time. I certainly do. I avoid anything requiring emotional sensitivity or anything requiring complex judgements unless they occur during my "good" times... basically 6AM to noon. Chronic sleep deprivation has t...
