Re: Tramadol while tapering Sinemet
I have only used one medication for RLS that has worked. Tramadol. Since 2009 I have taken 150 mg at 7 pm every night. It always works. I have never changed doses. I have never needed to increase the dose. If I forget to take it, boom, at 9 pm I am in agony. Luckily I have been able to explain to my...

Re: My journey to get off Mirapex and use cannabis instead
UPDATE: I have found a system that seems to be working. I started at 150mg Tramadol, with a few puffs of CBD heavy MJ. to get used to the MJ. I am down to 50 mg Tramadol at 6pm, with a 10mg MJ hard watermelon candy. At 9pm I take 300 mg magnesium. I have been sleeping great. I also put a warm blanke...

yawn, when you say you sometimes have strong anxiety, do you mean at night? Or during the day? What strain of marijuana are you using?

Re: My journey to get off Mirapex and use cannabis instead
I am going to try vaping, and right away add some edible. If I need to re-vape that is ok, better than not sleeping at all.

Re: My journey to get off Mirapex and use cannabis instead
I saw a doctor where I live in Arizona yesterday for my mj card. It should arrive in about 10 days. I am hoping to transition from 150mg of Tramadol at night, to only mj to control symptoms. The Tramadol is losing its effectiveness, and I am also experiencing daytime arm symptoms when I attempt to n...

Re: Stopping Tramadol, Starting Gabapentin,.
After tapering down to only 50mg of Tramadol while starting Horizant, I had terrible RLS. In addition to insomnia from the Horizant. After several nights of constant movement and not being able to sleep, I gave up on trying to switch from Tramadol to Horizant. My husband begged me take Tramadol at f...

Re: I have questions re Gabapentin and Buproprion for RLS
I was on Tramadol until recently, when I switched to Horizant. I have good insurance and they pay for it. I wanted once a day dosing and did not want to keep needing to increase the dosage of gabapentin. When I was on Tramadol, I started bupropion (wellbutrin). I was very successful on Tramadol, but...

Re: Stopping Tramadol, Starting Gabapentin,.
I agree the RLS was most likely from long term use of Tramadol. I am unable to take a nap during the day due to my arms starting to ache after only about 10 minutes. Which was no fun when I had the flu for two weeks and could not lie down. When I am completely off the Tramadol I hope eventually my a...

Re: Stopping Tramadol, Starting Gabapentin,.
Day two of switching from Tramadol 150mg at night to Horizant 600 mg at 5pm. I am tapering off the Tramadol, now taking 100mg at night with the full dose of Horizant. The first night was great, no problems. In the morning I felt a little spaced out, but not bad. Night two, I had restless arms. Very ...

Re: Stopping Tramadol, Starting Gabapentin,.
Thank you. Part of this transition is to d/c the Tramadol completely at some point. It has become such a hassle to get it. For me and my doc to prescribe. However, if nothing else works, I will put up with the hassle. I can't live with have RLS every night.

Stopping Tramadol, Starting Gabapentin,.
I am discussing with my doctor discontinuing Tramadol and starting Gabapentin instead. The Tramadol has worked well for seven years. However, in the last six months I have developed severe itching, which keeps me up at night. Also, and not a trivial concern, is the obstacles to obtaining Tramadol in...
