Re: Another year of relief

Hi All Well...I am not ready to stand on my rooftop and scream sweet relief, remission just yet. But I am getting there: several weeks with zero leg kicking and good sound 7 hours sleep with only 1-2 wake ups per night. My RLS is gone. I thought I'd update the good people who stood beside me during ...

Re: Another year of relief

Yes, it helps very very much. Thank you. Mainly because, until now, I wasn't adding up the MG of the oxalates, or considering tquantity. I was just choosing from the L/VL category and going at it. That said, I don't think I could ever exceed 10 units in a meal. Unless there are some serious blind sp...

Re: Another year of relief

Whoa....I didn't realize green tea was a definite offender. One of my lists has it okay -- the other doesn't specify. Eash. I drink two cups a day, religiously. Been off coffee for several years, and despise herbal teas. Any suggestions, Jim? Yerba Matte or Tulsi tea on either list? Please remind me...

Re: Another year of relief

I just past the 15 day mark on my strict low oxalate diet and thought its time to share. I am still quite encouraged. Until a couple of bad (6-7) nights that just happened, quite randomly, on nights 13 and 14 I was ecstatic. On my symptom scale a 10 means I sleep an hour or less. A 1 = eight sweet h...

Re: Another year of relief

Ann, i am curious: does Gluten trigger your RLS?

Also, can you expand on your comment of 5 verified genes, I don't understand. I am thinking of doing the 23 and Me gene kit, as I am curious to learn about my genetic history and mutations.

Re: Another year of relief

Hi Ethan-- It's difficult to find a connection online between oxalates and RLS. I recommend clicking on Notnowdad's name and reading his posts chronologically. Pretty fascinating. Also, this article makes a lot of sense. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-2174474/The-GP-gave-fruit-veg-cure-ac...

Re: How were you diagnosed with RLS?

My diagnosis came a bit by accident. I had surgery for an ingrate hernia, and to remove a cyst. So I was on Vicodin for three weeks. For the first time in years, I slept through the night, with my legs were steady and still. When I came off the meds, my restless legs came back with a vengeance. Also...

Re: Another year of relief

Thank you for your concern, Jim. I am well. I found my way to the oxalate website yesterday and read up on dumping. So we are on the same path. Imagine that. :) I haven't really experienced any severe dumping symptoms per se. I am no stranger to cleansing, and detoxing, so decided to go full on. And...

Re: Another year of relief

You have nothing to apologize for, my friend. Having pulled the ultimate coup...you want nothing more than to help more people up onto your life-raft. Though I am not experiencing my remission just yet, when I do I can imagine feeling the exact same way. I, too, was surprised more people didn't resp...

Re: Kratom is working for me

This is an amazing thread -- with what seems to be a happy ending. I am touched by the people who reach out and share their knowledge. Nice to know Kratom is on the back-burner if it comes to that for me. Before I joined this forum four days ago, I had never heard of this.

Re: Sourcing kratom- organic if possible / how to dose

How is it going, with the Kratom, Ethan? I am trying a handful of new things this month -- but want to keep tabs on your progress, and Kratom in general for possible future use.

Where have you been all my life? :D Good Lord....sometimes, with this condition, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Today I am smiling, because I believe the posts in this thread contain the information I've been seeking for a decade. It's like I wiggled a bulb at the end of a long string of Chri...

Re: Please Read 25 Years of Research Pays Off

Hi Tinker M! I was just officially "diagnosed" with RLS yesterday but have been battling it for ten years or so. My doctor sent me to this site, and your entry jumped out at me. So I wanted to thank you, and let you know I just ordered the four pack you recommended on Amazon. Reading throu...
