Re: Topiramate

I'm currently on a weightlist to see a neurologist at the moment. My family doc has been really receptive to me wanting to try different medications. So currently I'm on 100 mg of Topamax two times a day and 100 milligrammes of gabapentin three times a day with the intention of coming off gabapentin...

Re: Gabapenton weight gain

It's odd because my diet has not changed enough to result in this amount of weight gain.

Gabapenton weight gain

I've been on gabapenton since early July and have gained 30 pounds. I'm currently taking 500 mg 3 times a day. I need to come off these meds as I can't handle the weight gain and can't let it continue, regardless of the benefits. I can't see my dr in tell August 30th. How does one come off these med...

Re: Topiramate

I'll have to talk with my dr because the weight gain from gabapenton is really the only side effect and it's unfortunate as its been working really well

Topiramate

Has anyone ever been on Topiramate for rls or peripheral neuropathy? I'm on 500mg 3 X a day of gabapenton and it's working great but I have been experiencing unexplained weight gain. I was thinking of sugesting to my dr to put me on topirmate either to complement the gabapenton or to eventually disc...

Re: Gabapenton

I'm finding I'm gaining weight on gabapenton. Has anyone experienced this and if so is it from food cravings/overeating or mataboliom changes? I can't figure out why I'm gaining weight I've been logging my cal and I really shouldn't be gaining weight.

Gabapenton

I've been on DA drugs and didn't find them all that effective for my rls, I'm currently on 400mg of gabapenton 3 x a day and find it to be most effective so far. My rls has gotten manageable as the strange painfull sensations in my arms and legs have slowly dissipated downwards from my entire arms a...

Neupro and chronic fatigue

I've been on neupro now for 2-3 weeks. I'm exhausted all the time. I've always gotten tired when I drive but this is different,I've had to pull over in the middle of the day and take a 30 min nap or else I would pass out. I'm pretty sure this is the neupro and not from poor sleep but may be a contri...

Re: Disability tax credit for rls

I agree. I think minimizing it is away of coping. Although it eventually catches up to you.im an extremely motivated person you could even say an over achiever and it kills me that I'm slowed down by my rls

I'm in goose bumps at the thought that someone understands what I'm going through.

Re: Disability tax credit for rls

I've checked the government web site and rls is one of the illnesses they do recognize. My struggle is my ability to discribe how it's effecting me as I've sufferd from this for such a long time that it's kinda become normal. I get so tired by the middle of the week I could practically fall a sleep ...
