Re: Exploding Head Syndrome Gaba Withdrawal
If I stop the Gaba, then the RLS comes back. So i have to stay on it. I have to have the Ambian to fall asleep. Without it, the exploding head comes on every time I try to sleep. The first time I had it, I only slept 1/2 hour or so. Its maddening. If I start needing more Ambian, then I am not sure wh...

Exploding Head Syndrome Gaba Withdrawal
I withdrew a little too fast from my Gaba and have Exploding head syndrome, which feels like a current in my head just as I doze off to sleep. I have to take ambian with gaba now to fall asleep. I have to be very tired or take ambian to fall asleep and avoid the current or noise. My sleep doctor sai...

Gabapentin start and stop ok?
Taking 600 MG now for RLS. Would it be ok for example to take 900MG one night, then 600 , then go off one night then back to 900? Basically need to know if this would be OK with no withdrawal to worry about. Some nights, i need more to sleep better so I want to increase it and other nights dont need...

I have tried it for 8 nights so far and it has improved my symptoms quite a bit. i have lessened my Gabapenten from 600 to 300MG and for 6 nights I had no RLS and on 2 nights I had 1 and 2 times. I used to get 2 to 4...

Re: Gabpentin withdrawal time table?
thanks St. John. I already had tests and have no iron deficiency. I have severe RLS, Every night leg twitching when I awaken during the night. Your suggestion of the small dose of mirapex is a good one. I really dont want to go to the next level of meds. The Gab. worked for the first 2 years but it ...

Re: Gabapentin Stop and Start up again later effective?
Got a message from my Dr at Stanford and he said the receptors could be reset if I stop and restart the Gabapentin. Of course, i would have to deal with the leg twitching problems during that time. May try it and just just a half tablet of my Mirapex to mitigate any augmentation or side effects.

Gabapentin Stop and Start up again later effective?
The Gabapentin worked great for a couple of years and now doesnt seem effective. I am thinking of withdrawing it. If I wait a month or so, can I start it again and will it be effective like it used to be if it is out of my system for a while? Appreciate anyone who has done this or medical informatio...

Re: Gabapenten used thru the night
Hi Bry;
I had read somewhere that Gabapentin is only effective up to a dose of 900 MG. After that, added dosage has no effect of RLS.

Gabapenten used thru the night
I have started using the gabapenten a little thru the night to get a good nights sleep rather than taking the 600MG one time before bed. Has anyone else tried this? It seems to work good for me. Take 300MG before bed, then 100 about midnight or 1 am then 200 about 3 AM . The later also helps me take...

Re: Gabapentin
If this is taken each day does it require higher dosage with time or does it lose its effectiveness? If so, any particulars are appreciated.
