Re: Fighting opioid tolerance

Oyx,

I feel your pain re the tolerance issue. I'm on norco 5 mg and just came off a month off to reset. It's working...kinda...for now. I tried methadone and wasn't happy with it. Sleep MD is adamant about only norco 5 or methadone. So frustrating.

Re: Worried

Yes. Scores of people do. I'm very vocal about it whenever I see the "opioid crisis" mentioned.

Re: Horrible attitude from Primary Care Physician

There was one section about what "we usually will not do" and one of the lines said that they would not provide methadone or suboxone for missed doses. So, essentially if I were in a car accident that occurred prior to my daily methadone pill and ended up in the ER for a number of hours, ...

Re: Methadone Side Effects Question

Ann, I am in Sacramento County. It's not usually humid here, it's usually dry heat and we usually get an evening breeze but this summer has been strange and muggy.

I grew up in LA County. Not usually humid there either, especially if you're near the ocean. :)

Re: Is anyone else still on clonazepam?

Leggo, for what it's worth, I don't find that cannabis has a particularly appreciable effect on my RLS urge to move. It does help to induce sleep but I have noticed a significant reduction in word recall so maybe you aren't missing out so much. Thanks. Shoot...I already have a bad memory. I appreci...

Re: A Pharmacy Love Story [Not!]

I hate that sort of thing - and the more you show how frustrated and upset you are, the more they think you're a whacko .... Oh yeah, totally. Can you imagine if someone took out their cell phone and started filming my meltdown and it went viral on the internet? Now THAT would have been bad!

Re: A Pharmacy Love Story [Not!]

Thanks. Yeah it was a miserable experience. I know many here have had similar. I am the type that cries easily and laughs easily. I've cried in public more times than I'd care to admit. Usually people here just ignore you, appear uncomfortable, and pretend you aren't crying. It really was nice of th...

Re: Methadone Side Effects Question

Ann, ugh I hate humidity! We've had some of it here, which is a bit unusual. At night it's still muggy, when it usually cools off. :(

Betty, I want to go to Ireland someday! My dad just came back.

A Pharmacy Love Story [Not!]

I went to Target/CVS to fill my 90 day supply of 5 mg Norco. My insurance economically coerces me to fill my rxs at CVS, which I have always hated and wouldn't go there otherwise. I have been really busy lately and it took me 2 days after the MD appt to get to the pharmacy, even though I was out of ...

Re: Is anyone else still on clonazepam?

Thanks for the progesterone idea, Yawny. I had no idea that could help. I'm post-menopausal, would it help anyway? I think some time ago you had also been suggesting Baclofen which I hadn't looked into yet. O how I wish I were brave enough to try medical MJ!!! Still too concerned about the feds and ...

Re: Methadone Side Effects Question

By the way, on the subject of the heat...here in CA on another heat wave. This has been such a hot summer! So many days over 100, we barely get a break now and then. It's 102 today. So done with it.

Re: Methadone Side Effects Question

Hi everyone, thanks for your comments and ideas. I stopped the methadone. The good news is that I had been off the Norco for awhile, so everything has reset and the norco is working again for me, at least for a little while... I will probably try the methadone for a longer stint when the Norco stops...

Re: Is anyone else still on clonazepam?

I just started clonazepam. It seems to be providing some marginal benefit but not considering it to be a long term solution.

Re: Neighbors from you-know-where, anyone?

Views & peanut, how sweet of you to think of me. Thanks. I still can't stand them. I use my earplugs when it gets to be too much. They haven't threatened me recently. They are, I think, barely holding it together. They're not worth my time or energy...That's my new attitude. I went away two week...
