Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS
Well ..... it's sure been a while Basically what happened is I continued to wean off of Clonazepam while making no other medication change. MY RLS WAS 98% GONE FOR 3-4 MONTHS . I thought I had found the source of my rls , and that I was "cured" I slightly upped my Codeine dose late/November early De...

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS
So still dragging myself through life Some days better than others Still committed to gettimg off of Clonazepam. Got it down to about 0.07mg nightly. Decided to switch to a liquid(syrup) form which caused a significant problem when mixed with my Codeine. For whatever reason I'd feel nothing after ta...

Re: Dipyridamole
Is anyone else even taking this for RLS ?? I may be more inclined to take it if I heard another success story . I'm a bit deterred otherwise I wish. I just convinced my doctor to prescribe it, then the pharmacy got back to her and told her my insurance doesn't cover it. So she said forget it. I see...

Re: Dipyridamole
So I'm going to revive this topic I've finally started a mere 25mg dipyridamole nightly for 4 nights now Even at this very low dose I've noticed a moderate improvement of RLS onset symptoms in that they occur later and less severe, and a slight improvement in the length of duration of rebound sympto...

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS
Has your doctor said you could try codeine contin? I wonder if a more potent opioid wouldn't be better, like hydromorph contin? I've had a filled Rx for a while I tried it once and it certainly stopped the RLS at the time. It seemed a bit too heavily sedating and most concerning it lasted about 20 ...

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS
Alright.... so .... Once I stopped Neupro patch my symptoms completely left my right side and BOTH my arms . I then seemed to have increased symptoms in my left trunk This went away by resting in zero gravity ,which was something the sales guy told me would happen if I bought my tempurpedic smart ba...

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS
I was augmenting (again) for sure , for like the 7th time on a DA . Symptoms in both legs and both ARMS simultaneously. .... what puzzles me is why I was able to go so long before this occurred. I suppose it took a return of "normal" symptoms before the augmentation symptoms presented themselves (?)...

Clonazepam CAUSING/aggravating RLS ????
I've had RLS for 26 years I've been on Clonazepam for nearly 28 years and it is the ONLY medication ive never stopped using. Recently I reduced my dose and my RLS symptoms were significantly reduced This was consistent for months until about a month ago when my RLS returned (mostly due to DA augment...

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS
Hi again everyone Been a while I wish I could say I've been gone for 6 months because my symptoms disappeared but not quite the case. Taking care of 2 kids under 6, with one of them having very special needs is so consuming I really don't have time for myself However .... The whole music thing (fris...

Re: Spinal Stimulator
This is definitely a positive step in the right direction for treating extremely severe refractory cases of RLS .

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS
One of the things that many of us have used when our RLS is out of control has been "distraction". The usual list includes things like crosswords, Suduko, a very good novel or movie, etc. Something that keeps the brain engaged. So it sounds like music is able to do this for you. I tried it a long t...

MUSIC / FRISSON
At the risk of triple posting this , I felt this needed it's own thread I was about to commence Buprenorphine, but wanted to delay it for multiple reasons I discovered that FRISSION caused by listening to emotion provoking music , although briefly, made RLS go from treatment refractory to almost non...

Re: 1st post after 24 years of RLS
So unfair that it won't last How do I make last ???? 1. Keep the dose as low as possible - by letting a few symptoms still appear - by adding a low dose of pregabalin or gabapentin, or a very low dose of an opioid 2. Keep your iron stores up. 3. Cultivate a positive outlook. I know it's hard! but I...

Re: Spinal Stimulator
I'm having new issues since stopping the muscle relaxants. I'm not having as many good nights. Plus I am not sure if the THC gummies are really helping that much. Oh how I wish there was something else to add to my arsenal. When I have one bad night, where I'm up all night, it is really taking a to...
